Extended Thoughts:

This episode highlight for me is obviously Josh me and him getting caught with the undoing being by his own daughter.  it was so fun to see him go from this confident plotting Mastermind to a little boy scared wanting to cry for his mother.   what really makes me think is how terrible he must have been as a father to have his own daughter turned on him. This reminds me of like that Roman Emperor and the helper if I'm not mistaken. I think his name was Brutus and I think the quote goes “ Et tu, Brute? “

> This reminds me of like that Roman Emperor and the helper if I'm not mistaken. I think his name was Brutus and I think the quote goes “ Et tu, Brute? “ This was Julius Caesar, when he was getting stabbed by the councilmen, his friend, Brutus even joined in, thus the quote "Et tu, Brute" ("and you, Brutus?" or, "you too, Brutus?")

Dude, I LOVED your reaction to the entire reveal of Jacque Schnee's betrayal. That dog whimper especially was golden! 😂👌🏻 Also, I know other patrons have said it before, but I'll say it again here: don't be too hard on Robyn. Her main objective is protecting Mantle and the people who live there, even if it means breaking the occasional bad law (like the comment of the day said: legality doesn't always equal morality). You can't blame her for acting the way she did here in light of everything that happened.

Aww, that interaction between Oscar and Ruby is one of my favorites! So awkwardly cute! 😍

Zen Reacts

This is another reason i dont agree with Ruby withholding information from Ironwood in the beginning. Oscar says he should know before he makes any sacrifices but sacrifices have already been made. He sacrificed the trust the council and the citizens may have had in him, he sacrificed the security of mantle which has more than likely resulted in casualties, he has begun sacrificing his humanity because he believed Salem could be stopped, that she could be killed. Sacrifices dont have to be tangible things or people and sometimes a sacrifice of the soul can be worse. He maintains focus on saving Mantle right now but what in him has been sacrificed to gain the knowledge of Salem's immortality.

I don't completely agree, kept Project Amity a secret, kept the information about Tyrian's murder secret (even when he didn't know Tyrian was there), all of that isn't Ruby's fault. , it's 100% Ironwood. It had started even before Ruby and the others arrived ... It was precisely because of his "sacrifices" that he did not gain the trust of Ruby and the others. As we can see from their arrival in Atlas, even Qrow, who knows Ironwood well, doubts him, after seeing his message to Mantle. While Ruby may not have helped, Ironwood was already on this path.

Great reaction! Great Weiss moments in this episode. Jacque deserved what was coming to him. I would still be careful in how you view Robyn, because think about it - you know everything. You HAVE context. Robyn doesn’t. Without that context, all she sees is a man abusing his power at the expense of people in Mantle. It’s not like she’s being hard on him for no reason. She, as a huntress, is supposed to protect the people, and she’s doing all she can to do that. We as the viewers know why Ironwood is diverting resources from Mantle and holding them on a tight leash (though some of us, like me, may not agree with that approach), but Robyn just sees him exploiting people who are already fighting to survive. I’d hope anybody in her position would fight for what’s right too. And given the information she does have, she IS doing what’s right, because she doesn’t know the bigger picture…because Ironwood is controlling absolutely everything. The show is succeeding in making you view things through Ironwoods eyes, but you can’t just see it that way. Ironwood is fucking over a lot of people with his actions, regardless of the goodness of his motive, and those people are valid and deserve a voice. Robyn is fighting for them and I respect her a lot for that

Plus, Robyn’s been fighting a lot about the resources that are being used for Amity. All she knows is that resources that are supposed to be used to repair Mantle’s outer wall are being diverted into the tundra for a top secret classified project. We see in this episode that the holes in their defenses meant that the Grimm were able to walk right into Mantle without any trouble. Ironwood left Mantle vulnerable and now they’re paying the price. He’s put in a harsh situation, because Amity IS an important project. More than important, really. But I’ll always stand by the notion that he’s approaching it in the wrong way, and this is why.

Yeah, technical difficulties... we all know David picked his nose there.

Cage Nightwind

Yknow..All the times watching this episode..it only now sunk in. My mental reaction when Clover opened the door on the transport and the wing broke off, hitting the Grimm and knocking it off.. "Man what're the odds of that really? He's so luc- Oh. Touche, Rooster Teeth."

RadShiro

about your outburst with Robyn, you gotta remember that she barely knew ANYTHING. All she saw was a General stealing resources and not telling anyone what for, not to mention how he was treatings everyone in mantle.
