“People hurt me long before we met. All sorts of people in all sorts of ways. But no one hurt me quite like you” That line gets to me every single time cause there are people I know who I can say that to and have it mean so much. Like something about Adam and the line delivery just makes me tear up honestly. Side note: I don’t remember if you reaction to Lionize the song or the Adam trailer but you should watch em. They are very very very good.

I'll second that motion. Even if you don't want to make videos for them they're just so well made!

Not sure if you noticed what Adam's scar was, it says SDC as in the Schnee Dust Company, he was branded by Weiss's family. Side note, still can't believe there are people that defend Adam and think Roosterteeth did him dirty, from day one he was an abuser and terrorist, he was never gonna get a redemption arc.

Yes! You finally made it to "Big Metal Shoe"! I know that the episode is actually called "Lady in the Shoe" but in my opinion it should be called "Big Metal Shoe" after the song that's heard here. Accordingly the next episode has a song title that's more appropriate for it than the actual title of the episode, but I'll leave it at that because I don't want to accidentally spoil it even though I fell like you might have already watched and recorded it & are just waiting to upload on schedule. What I will say is that one is so satisfying in so many ways, so I hope you enjoy it too.

That’s one thing I love about Nevermore. Every time the leitmotif plays at the end of that battle next episode I cry. It’s such a beautiful song for Blake and Yang, and the bridge does such an amazing job detailing how Adam was a terrible person, but he was also subjugated to terrible things.

BlakexYang vs Adam is one of my favorite fights in the series. The fight choreography, the character development, the small details in their expressions…and the rest of the fight is the same exact way. And the song about this, Nevermore, is one of my favorite songs of the series. Not only is it a banger but it’s just so emotionally and musically brilliant. Every time the leitmotif plays during the climax of their fight next episode I cry. The emotional complexity of the characters in this show is rare and phenomenal, and this is one of the many moments that highlights that spectacularly. On the edge of my seat for c12!!!

“He gets to dish out damage without having to feel it.” Perfectly sums up the difference between Yang and Adam. Even though they have similar Semblances, Yang has to take hits in order to use hers. She takes a lot of hits for her team so she knows the value in doing so. She literally has to feel pain in order to protect the people she loves. Meanwhile Adam doesn’t have to feel the hits. He might’ve felt a couple when he was younger and that inspired him to join the White Fang. But instead of learning from that pain, he just used it to hurt other people. I really love that line because you can dig deep into what that means for these two character.

So, like Adam, I've been hurt by many people. But I saw early on how ugly it was to use that hurt to hurt others. When I saw what that path lead to- loneliness, regret and death; I chose to walk the path of forgiveness and self improvement. Even if that forgiveness made me look more like Qrow, no one will ever see me as a Saint, but I'm not the Villain. I refuse to hurt other just because I was hurt.

I think its very important to recognize that that isnt just a scar on Adam's eyes, its a brand, like you woild do with cattle. You dont have to like Adam but its important to think about what led him to this point. Not everyone has the strength to grow from pain and make it out of the darkness in their hearts. He was probably incredibly young when he was branded and he probably had no one to help him through that experience, and humans having branded him and there most likely being no humans to help him in his time of need only solidified his feelings towards the species. Defeating Adam shouldn't be considered a triumph because its a tragedy that someone with so much potential was swallowed by the hate of the world

Nora : And you said it wasn't a beach/bitch season. This line got me everytime now that i understand it (english is't my mother language so the first time see this episode, i did't catch it). I would still like to salute the work of the VA of Cordovin, who plays her character very well and this screams ... he was more than legit. Also, this double fight, Cordo/Team and Adam/Bee's, is so intense for a final and hasn't finished yet.

I didn't like the end of Volume 6 at the time I watched it. The fight with the Colossus (giant robot) felt really messy and dragged on for 2 or 3 episodes, intertwined with the -way more interesting in my opinion- fight with Adam. I still wish that they focused one full episode on each instead of alterning. Though now that I'm watching your reaction, the episode seems better than what I remembered.

Btw David, in case you didn't realize (it took a me a while tbh), Adam's scar isn't a random burn. It is the logo of SDC (Schnee Dust Company), and the red burn hints that he was branded with it like an animal in an industrial meat farm, probably during his days as an SDC child worker/ slave. Adam's past is really sad, it doesn't justify his madness at all but still :/

So David you noticed that Blake knows she's not alone, and Yang didn't go red eyed right away, and you're so right, another amazing thing I love about this fight is, after Blake tells Yang about his semblance, Yang CHARGES towards Adam using her gauntlets, and Adam positions to attack her directly. It's the EXACT same choreography as when Yang lost her arm, but this time Yang has learned and she jukes to the side at the last second. Throughout the show you can actually see Yang use that maneuver a lot, esp in the early seasons,, then after she loses her arm it's always VERY intentional when she uses that charge move. (She does it when she fights the bandits in vol5 as well, and does a similar little juke)
