Gotta say, the theme of this episode (conspiracy theories) is pretty dark, but that coincidental foreshadowing by Ronaldo in the end... that's actually pretty funny for those in the know.

Lol don't worry. You'll get more Ronaldo. I'll let you form your own opinions on that.

I love that Ronaldo's weapon of choice is a potato

The reason they let Renaldo continue to believe in the delusion, while not the best idea. Is because he was in a major depression. They are kids. They think that him being happy is better than him being sad. Though in reality this is one of those things that can either pacify the problem or make it worse. And I guess we just have to see where this takes Renaldo. But yeah... whenever he isn't doing his blog and obssessing over the paranormal he seems to be depressed and even psychotic if pushed too far. Peddi and Steven seem to have come to the conclusion that Renoldo is easier to monitor this way by doing something he enjoys that seems to keep him sane. And on one hand they are correct. But it is not a perminent salution and what Renaldo really needs is to see a professional. Talk about why he feels the need to be the center of everything. Work from there. But again they are children not professionals, so considering this. They did the best they could without getting the father and professionals involved.

If I had a family member or friend like Renaldo, I would actually keep encouraging them to follow their believes. After all, at the end of the day, there's no way to actually prove Renaldo's beliefs wrong, even if they appear severely unlikely. However, I would point out to him how the way he is choosing to pursue his believes is being detrimental to him and to others. At that point I'd probably work with him to find a healthier way to pursue his believes, and perhaps even join in to help his evidence be more organized and scientific rather than scattered and obsessive, and that's even if I don't believe the same as him. I've done similarly before for friends, and really, they appreciate feeling validated, and then we have something else to work on and talk about together. Plus, helping them this way does help them be healthier people in the long run, while outright denying their beliefs when I have no evidence to prove them wrong can really do more damage than good to their emotional health and self-esteem.

He may be eccentric but I suggest that you remember those last couple sentences Ronaldo says at the end there for potential future conspiracy reasons. Something I never caught the first time viewing

Well one side note - he’s right about the sentient rocks. Kinda. The gems are basically that if you want to really simplify their existence into earth terms yknow? So even though he hasn’t connected it back to them he is thinking along the right lines now. In a way at least. But as for the question. When it comes to people with such a devoted belief in something. It would be harder on them to bring them to the truth. I know it’s worst case and this is a kids show. But if you think about how he was acting before Steven showed up in the sake costume he was slipping into a more depressed state, I can only imagine what he might have done had he been allowed to continue like that, finding more weird stuff and knowing that it wasn’t actually a mystery. He had lost his “life purpose”. So when you really think about it, when someone’s belief is so integral to their daily life and their chosen purpose in the world, making them change is like trying to change who they are and I don’t think that’s right to do in any situation.
