Jeff and Joe, the story boarders for this episode, do a really great job of drawing Pearl. Each artist has a difference style that is noticeable when you’re watching different episodes, but in terms of this pair’s strengths they’re really good at more action-y episodes. Also props to the coloring team because the blues in this episode were gorgeous.

I really feel for Pearl this episode. She wants so desperately to get even a GLIMPSE of home, that she's willing to risk everything for it. She becomes blinded by the idea of getting out there again and it makes her reckless. But Steven reminded her that she has people who love her here on Earth, and that helped her get passed the sadness of losing out on her trip back into space. Cuz she doesn't need space, she has family here now.
