So fun fact: Weiss was meant to go to Atlas Academy but on moving day she just jumped on the ship to Beacon 😂 Weiss is my favourite character because of her relationship from her family. I definitely like the mind set of family is what you make of it. You’re not bound nor have any obligation to your relatives. Family is the people you’re closest to and can rely on. I agree that making amends has to be a mutual thing, both parities have to want it!

When it comes to a problematic relationship with your family or anybody really, communication is key. I know firsthand from my family and I butting heads over the fact that I am gay, atheist and don't want children and it really put a lot of pressure onto our relationship because they just couldnt handle it but over time and discussion they all came to be fine with all three. my case isnt how all situations are though because sometimes things are far too gone by what they say, do and/or believe. Depending on the situation at hand, cutting them off may be valid but overall I think your go to should be communication in order to make them understand.

I'm not sure how big of an action movie fan you are, but one thing you may or may not have noticed throughout the show is that there are a lot of homages to famous fight scenes from TV and film. For example, in Qrow's fight with Winter there is a move that is a direct reference to *Kill Bill Volume 2*, and in this episode during the Mercury/Emerald vs. Coco/Yatsuhashi fight there are a couple of moves that are highly reminiscent of *The Matrix*. There are loads more moments all throughout the show that borrow fight choreography from iconic action sequences but they fit into the combat so naturally that you can tell it's not done out of laziness but out of respect and love for action films. It's a really under-appreciated aspect of RWBY's combat, in my opinion, so I just wanted to make you aware if you hadn't been catching them. :)

Also re: Summoning They're Grimm the Schnees have defeated. Basically what Winter said. Also are you starting to see why people call Weiss best girl? Look back at the beginning of V1 compared to now. Her character arc is the best in the show. And it's just going to keep getting better as time goes on. As for toxic relationships....the worst part is that, a lot of times, it's meant in love, not control. The people damage you even though they think it's best for you. But because of how you've been beaten down, you feel you just can't speak up. All you can do is sit and wait and feel like you have to take the beating. You just grow more and more resentful until you reach such a point that even having that person be in the same *room* as you makes you want to explode and just completely *tanks* your mood for the rest of the day. In cases like that ,you do have to lay things out and communicate in whatever way is effective. Offer things to help. Offer resources. Explain your view. You know they want the best for you, so, hopefully, you can do it in a way that makes them know it's serious. Unfortunately, there are some relationships that are all about control where the person doesn't care, you're just a pawn for them. They'll do whatever you they can to keep you in line. If you don't capitulate, then things just get worse and worse.

Hi David :). Just a few thing and funfact to say, firt, when Ruby lose in video games and gets ejected, it is not Dang that should be said, but Yang .... No? Please don't send me a pie in my face. During the Weiss / Winter dialogue, the reference to the receptionist's job is an inside joke, Weiss's VA was receptionist before being taken to do the voice of Weiss. As for the question, I am lucky to have parents who are understanding and can have no problem with, then again, being rather introverted, I tend to take comments without saying anything in return by the other members of my family (large family, one is 5 brother and sister, I am the last and I have 9 nephews and nieces). But I would not say that I am fundamentally close to my family, if I had a problem I would probably go to see my friends more than my brothers and sister (big difference in age, I am 9 and 18 years old with my brothers , 13 and 22 with my sisters), so I can't talk about my own experience, only the one that I saw and most of the time, it meant cutting ties with people who didn't accept a difference of opinion or whatever, either she was good enough to come back and apologize and accept, or she got stuck in their prejudice and too bad for her.

My nephew went through this too when he announced that he was gay (bringing his boyfriend back to his brother's birthday probably didn't help), but over time, it got better on the side of the family to whom it posed a problem. Just to have witnessed this, I just wanted to congratulate you and encourage you for being through that (It might happen to me too, one day, being trans but still in the closet).

When Monty signed Kerry and Miles, the lead writers, to the show he gave them a list of like 20 anime to watch so he could use moments from them for reference
