This song ended up being the *second* big surprise for me on the V7 soundtrack. My first pass of listening to this made me think this would be one of my mid to least favorite tracks, but it ended up being my second one. It's just so much fun. First was I May Fall acoustic. I'm normally not the biggest fan of the acoustics. (Just don't really think the original can be done better.) But the way it captures the context for the last bit of Volume 7 is just absolutely CHILLING. (It's my only song with a 9 score in my rankings list. Currently my 3rd favorite RWBY songs.)

I just love the variety they can produce in these soundtracks. It's hard to believe that one soundtrack gave us this, War, Let's Get Real, and Hero. Also, Jeff and Casey are father and daughter, and Casey's mom Sandra Lee Casey sang Ruby's mom's part in Red Like Roses pt. 2. The level of talent in that family is insane.

Ahh Why didn't I check Patreon Yesterday!!!!! This was so awesome thanks for reacting to this. The Bridge in this song is my favourite piece of music on the volume 7 soundtrack, and I'm glad you enjoyed it too!

I recommend you check out Sapphire’s English cover of “Kakusei” from Promare. I think it’s right up your alley Music wise. It is a very interesting mesh of musical genres and it’s very good for being translated: (it doesn’t sound super awkward like a lot of translations do).

You know it was funny as I was editing this record it grew on me more as well. Obviously from the reaction i liked it, but it actually got stuck in my head. Which for me is a whole other level of like! Yeah, sometimes aucostic guitar cover don't give the weight nesscary in order to make you feel the same feeling I get it. I think the goal when you do an acoustic cover is to make it your own and hopefully people like it. Also super cool you have a ranking list! what number 2 and 1

Again its stupid it doesn't make sense creating a soundtrack that has this many moods means you have to be fimailair with a whole bunch of genre and keep your audience guessing!

If you are looking for more outside of rwby, "lone digger" by Caravan palace has a really strong 1920s vibe i think you'd like.
