Poll Test 2 (Patreon)

So this maybe a little too early, but it's better to be over-prepared than under, eh? 

It's stated that the next stretch goal is supposed tobe  Patreon exclusive polls to decide one of the characters for the month, but it didn't explain how that would actually work. I've been looking around here n' there to see how other folks are doing it. 

Obviously, leaving it to open means you end up with a shittload of options, but hardly any votes behind them. So the winner ends up being Jimmy with 3 votes over everyone's 2. That's hardly representative of everyone, non? Some compartmentalization  must be done and I've been thinking of offering certain IPs as choices. Then whichever IP won, would be split again into be a bit more specific, until we get to the point where there's at most 3-5 choices. That's the basic jist of it. 

It's nothing concrete, but I'm mulling over what kind of limits I should set. Such as limiting the number of rounds as I want to be able to get started as soon as the next month rolls around rather than having to wait til' we already halfway through it. I want to reduce the amount of dupes as I and a fair number of folk would be not too jazzed over getting the exact same character #343 that a bunch of other people already made. Also this may be making a mountain out of a molehill, but I'm wondering if I should ban/limit certain IPs due to overhearing some complaints of them consistently winning every poll. Maybe that's not that much of an issue as folks are making it out to be, but it's something I'm concerned about. 

Anywho, this is just an example of what the poll could look like and for this test, it'll be centered around Hololive. I think the IP choosing portion of the poll is rather self explanatory, so I'm skipping right over to Round 2. 

Obviously I'm not going to spend the month(s) making everyone of the winning generation. Rather the winning gen moves on to Round 3 where y'all get to pick one out of the group. So for example, say, hololive Indonesia wins, the choices will consist of Moona, Risu, and Iofi. And whoever wins that, wins the title of Vtuber of Vtubers/becomes the card of the month. 

*Due to Fubuki's dual status as a member of Gen 1 and GAMERS, she's included in both. I may change that if it causes an issue like vote splitting or somethin' like that. Kurokami may or may not be included as an alt costume. 

**Botan will not be an option if Gen 5 wins due to already being made. 

So yeah, that's what I've been thinking for now but I'm sure I'll have more to say in the follow up post 3 days from now. These polls are only a test, but the ones after the goal is reached will actually count. The card will be free for everyone, but deciding on who it is will be left exclusively up to patrons.  I think this is a pretty decent compromise that shouldn't ruffle too many feathers yeah? I mean c'mon, a 100 bucks for nothing is a rip off what is this an used car dealership?
