yeah season 2 gets a lot of hate. Most of my gripes with it are the characters feel kinda... weirdly written this season, but everything else is solid. One of the things Bryan Konietzko (one of the co-creators of the series) has said about this show is they focus a lot more on overall character arcs and how satisfying they are, rather than smaller moment-to-moment character beats. It makes for a richer overall story at the slight expense of some frustrating moments for some of them. If you are enjoying the show this much during season 2, season 3 is gonna be a phenomenal ride.
