This right here is why we love Dave Filoni. Everything about this episode was as pure Star Wars as we'll maybe ever get. Also we finally got to see our boy Rex live action and in both phase 1 and 2 armour.

its amaizing how they can still add story, details and value to the past, this idea of them being soldiers, or that Ahsoka was raised by war its not new, but it has never been portrait like this, or even explained or said by Anakin or her.... this is so, so great!

BTW I think that Jacen heard the light saber fight because he is the son of Caleb Dume, and he was related to the wolfs that guard the portal to the world between worlds.

Okay. Hands down, best Star Wars in years. I don't know what the hell Disney was doing with the sequels, but Dave Filoni should have taken the helm on Lucasfilm from the beginning. Good god, this was incredible. This is up there with the TCW finale and Revenge of the Sith for me.

That planet they were on in the first flash back looked like it was probably Ryloth. That was one of the earliest planets we saw in TCW, so it would fit with the Phase I Clones and the desert vibes, and we saw what looked like a couple Twi'lek guerilla fighters in the background. I was also unreasonably hype to see a glimpse of a Maul Mandalorian (Mauldalorian?) in live action.

Ahsoka got her closure with Anakin. I love that you can see how more relaxed and happy Ahsoka is after meeting Anakin and confronting her past. The problem she had with being raised as soldier, feeling responsible for Anakin's fall... now she accepts that she doesn't have to be soldier to be a Jedi. She can decide what kind of jedi she wants to be. She can be everything that Anakin taught her without becoming just like Vader.

I've seen some people say it's just a vision version of Anakin but I believe it's the real Anakin. When Ahsoka says "I won't fight you" and he replies "I've heard that before." It's probably a reference to when he and Luke fought which Ahsoka would have no knowledge of. Plus, you got Jacen and Hera being able to hear their lightsaber battle. The lesson that Anakin teaches her is so great. Just because Anakin fell and became Vader doesn't mean that she will fall or turn bad. His learn "you've learned nothing" is basically Anakin telling Ahsoka that she's forgotten all the good Anakin has taught her and has forsaken, because of him becoming Vader. Which is why we get Revenge of the Sith Anakin at the end for her to fight which forces her to face it. Honestly, some of the deepest, well written star wars stories in recent times. There's so much to break down and interpret.
