You may remember Ekko being referred to as Little Man -- the kid that worked in Benzo's shop and overheard Vander's dealings with Grayson and saw the slaughter at the start of ep 3

You definitely need to rewatch these after you react....You miss so much by talking over it. You should know who Echo is as he was in the entire first arch. You also seem to completely misunderstand several of the characters motivations including Mel and Marcus. Echo hesitated because jinx was his childhood friend and acted like a normal human would. most of these characters act as a real person would baased on their personalities, circumstances, and world they live in and are writen brilliantly. They arent writen like cartoon characters. Lastly the glitching camerawork represents jinx suffering from complex ptsd and psychosis and ive known people like that and have ptsd myself so its pretty on point.

Your reactions to this are so different from most of the other ones I've watched, which is fine of course. No fun if all the reactions are the same. Ekko was the kid who worked at Benzo's shop in the first arc. They called him "little man" and he was the one who gave Vi the tip to steal from Jayce's apartment. He shows up a few more times and I think the last time we see him is after Benzo is killed by the shimmer-infused Deckard.

ohhh that's right! Little Man! I do remember the kid over hearing Vander and Grayson's deal. Didn't remember that at the time

For what it's worth, I have subtitles on and read everything, even when I'm talking. The main issue for me was that the plot is pretty convoluted and I wasn't able to keep it all straight. I think the writing is good, but it relies on you having at least rudimentary knowledge of this universe before watching the show from the game
