Havent done this for a while!

Give your ideas and suggestions about a diner menu!

  • Regular greasy and delicious Diner food ?
  • Seasonal Diner Foods ?
  • Diner Specialty foods ?
  • Home cooked Diner food/Home buisness ?

(Was going through the Southern vampire/ Sookie Stackhouse books again and want to recreate Sam's diner for sims 4! Had a long term save in Moonlight Falls in sims 3  with all the characters)

I have plans for this theme sometime soon!

I would love some southern comfort foods also !!

Diana-Marie

Chicken fried steak and eggs, Country fried steak and mashed potatoes, chicken noodle soup, vegetable beef soup, BLT, Club Sandwich, stroganoff, beef tips in gravy, tuna melt, patty melt, French Dip sandwich, turkey plate with stuffing and mashed potatoes/gravy, liver & onions, pork chops, baked chicken & rice, chicken pot pie. pork & beans w/ cornbread, clam chowder, chili, cottage chees and fruit, steamed veggies and cheese sauce. Love all of your ideas, I'm sure they'll be fantastic!

Miss Faye

I think it would be hilarious for there to be a random chance of getting a heartburn buff from any diner food since that's what I always get after eating some!

ooh, I'd love some more breakfast food options, as I feel like I always lack variety for my sims there. Sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns (or homefries) is a breakfast combo plate I feel like we don't have. Oooh, breakfast sandwiches and burritos would be so good too. For non-breakfast items maybe potroast?

Having the option somewhere of buying a whole pie or cake to take home would be neat! Classics though that maybe can only be bought there. Auntie Em's Apple Crumble or Nana's Bread & Butter Pudding or Banana Cream and Rhubarb. Maybe a cake plate that can sit on a counter and can only be found in non-residential build/buy. And because I'm a HUGE Historical player, maybe consider including an extra 'medieval/Historical' friendly version? I just got ALL excited, sorry if I totally went off LOL!! edit: Or perhaps I misunderstood between regular home menu items and hearing the word 'diner' hahahaha!

So a lot of the foods considered classic American diner fare is already covered by the sims4 recipes and some of the stuff you have already done. I would echo fellow members with: An array of Pies, classic, seasonal and unexpected. An array of milkshake flavors Loaded Fries / Loaded Hashbrowns / Dressed Fries (these are all basically a potato dish topped with cheese, bacon, green onion, often sour cream or other goodies) Some things that may have not been mentioned before: Several styles of omelettes Breakfast skillet (think a hearty meat, egg, and potato dish, usually served in a 6-8inch cast iron skillet) Open faced sandwiches (hot brown, hot turkey sandwich, tuna melt, etc....) / Croque Madame/Monsieur A mix of eggs benedict
