Now that nectar-making is coming with the new Horse EP, what should I do with my nectar maker? Throw all your ideas at me!

Edit : - I am adding your suggestions

I might just convert it into an all purpose  drink bottle maker ( bottler ? ) and add -

- Non Alcoholic Fruit Juice Bottles

- Hard liquor ( I have a distillery in the works for this but I might combine)

- Infused oils/drinks

-Press sauces

PJ Brown

Artisanal oils? Infused Olive oils, etc?

icemunmun

I have plans for a separate countertop oil and fragrance distillation pot!

Kat

Keep it in case ppl don’t buy the horse EP?

jlholmes359@gmail.com

Some people might not want to get horses so maybe keep a version of it for them? As far as changing it, I'm at a loss.

Barbie sim

was nectar making confirmed? I suggested awhile ago that you can add nectar barrels for wineries , where we can make big barrels of nectar, or like those counter tops where they sell pasteries for cafes but instead make a nectar bar for NPC's or your sim where only where you can set a menu for nectar rather than single bottles - kind of like a gameplay food mod in a sense

Sophia D

I agree with keeping it for those who don’t buy the EP

icemunmun

I have made a distillery and am working to make the drinks but I might combine

lalaatje

incorporate the (your custom) fizzy drinks that came with eco into the nectar maker? a way to place the nectar maker without the placement?

icemunmun

I have plans for the wine barrels and pastry counter. I especially love the pastry counter idea. Currently with the custom drink interaction you can make and buy single galsses of the wine. but a dedicated nectar bar sounds cool too!

icemunmun

The Eco living fizzy juice station has a very cumbersome crafting process and its tedious to add new stuff to it and I hope the new nectar maker is not too troublesome to mod. But this gives me an idea of making an all in one drinks bottle maker ( including all bottled stuff)

BRG

It would be cool if you could press sauces and than take them to the canning station

SugahSpice

as long as we get to keep some version of yours I'm ok with whatever you want to do lol

Sims Storyteller

I would love a distillery! Also, Kat made a good point. I personally love the way your nectar making runs now and have no plans to run out and buy the new EP when it goes on sale. I like to wait a few months before I get anything they release now (since there always seems to be some bug or bugs they need to fix).

Alex Reid

You could remake and integrate the custom drinks that use custom ingredients into the official nectar making systems that is coming with the horse expansion. You could both make it stand alone and make it work with the new official nectar making skill and machine.

icemunmun

Yes that i will try and incorporate if its possible but if its like the fizzy juice station then incorporating stuff may be difficult

icemunmun

I have the basics of the distillery and a couple drinks done. I need to finish it! Even if i plan to add stuff to the nectar maker, the core stuff will be untouched

MegaErica

Maybe the maker could make nectar soaked hay or whatever… the way we can change the milk for a cow in game. Or a feed/pellet maker where you can sell Artisanal farm treats

Lily

I like the infused oils idea... could tie into soap making as well. Press lavender for instance to make infused soaps that give buffs based off of the oil profile? An occasional small buff when the items aren't all natural like "Sim likes this scent, but it's not as nice as the ones they make themselves." Could tie in really well with Wellness and Herbalism. Could use the "nectar maker" to make larger batches of the remedies from herbalism, or put a spin on the potions from Spellcasters, making certain ones available to non magic folk {where it fits in, anyway} and the like. Just tossing ideas around. No idea how complex creating mods for TS4 is. :D

SparrowWolf93

What if the nectar maker could make special animal beverages too?? Like a salty water to satisfy the horses, hay fever kombucha to counter-act allergies or satisfy goats need for foraging? I love the idea of corn whiskey or moonshine. These could be harvested and also supplied with the mill??

DAVID EVANS

Will look forward to the distillery. Hope not to have all my Sims drunk too often though!

Karen A

I'm not sure if this is doable, but maybe turn them into flavoured sugar syrups? Ones that could be added to different things as ingredients, eg: coffees, cocktails, sparkling water, shaved ice, poured on ice cream, milkshakes, etc. It would be a shame to lose all those awesome flavours. Think Monin syrups as an example.

Magnin Pascale

Bonjour Icemunmun, je ne sais quoi dire si ce n'est que j'ai pas tous les packs et j'espère que nous pourrons continuer à utiliser vos nectars sans le futur pack..?

Cynthia

Is it only gonna be available with the new pack or is it gonna be apart of the base game update before the release? If it’s possible to keep your mod for those who won’t the pack (in case it’s only coming with the pack) it would be great.

Lisbeth Göransson

Hi Icemunmun i love all y stuff and i think y suggestion is perfect.

Rikke Myhre

I would love the distillery idea!

Christiane Feit

Hi Icemunmun, IRL I'm making fruit wines to turn them into vinegars. How about some nice elderberry or blackberry vinegar to go with your wonderful dishes?

Jocelyn Shanks

i just put this in the other ideas lol a still sound great, my sim Dale Callaway is obsessed with the one from eco, lol he bores everyone he meets about the advantages of it

laura stepp

I was going to suggest a distillery of some sort, but I see you're already working on that. Maybe it can be combined with the nectar maker (if it's not too hard to do). Otherwise, infused oils would be a good way to go.

L0ve365 Sims 4

Flower, nut, fruit and wood extracts like resin/oud/essential oils for perfume and herbalism/aromatherapy.

Sylien

Cider? Mead?

Mendota Kelly

I like your nectar maker just as it is. I very much doubt that Maxis will have the variety that you provide, and I love the fact that your bottles contain servings.

Mendota Kelly

If you just need to change the name, I would call them fruit liquors.

Claire

Id love to see Moonshine because whats more cowboy than making your own hardcore liquer (im thinking dukes of hazzard/RDR2 vibes)

monica cooper

Hard liquor would be so fun! Lmao

PJ Brown

I do also love the idea of hard liquor as well - what's the west without whiskey?? lol

Nicole Bates

Infused oils/drinks

Leander

Convert it all to work with the in-game one -- or convert the ones that the game doesn't already provide.

Sims Ilikesims

Convert it to add your custom drinks not included in the game.

SparrowWolf93

Maybe it could be an "all you can craft" machine?? I know that might be too much work. Also wondering, what if Sims could affect the outcome while using it with certain emotion? Like, say strawberry nectar made sims flirty, but the sim was sad and made some after a breakup, they'd make a "romance blues" nectar etc?? I mean, I'll be happy with anything honestly!! Would be cool too if one could use the milk from the farm animals to make something cool. Thank you @icemunmun for all the amazing creations. You make my game so enriching.

SparrowWolf93

Oooh, on that topic, what if could create beauty products? Like a rosemary hair oil that makes a sim feel luxurious but would also give werewolves a boost, I mean, they have to take care of their fur? Or ointments for all our new animals?

Xia Murphy

Infused oils sounds fantastic and would give us something else to craft at home and sell!

Bonita Means

maybe infuse your recipies with the in game nectar maker

Claire Mason

i love the idea of infused oils as Xia said its another craft to make and sell,
