ok some lore :)

tentra and dendra, are from a rare species of tentacle monsters, whos' population is low. in order to combat this, they have a strong cultural need to save and continue their lineage. 

so this makes tentra more of the odd one, due to his relationship with just one partner, even though he ends up having a lot of children. its more normal and desired to have multiple spouses. (so even morrreee children)

so dendra having 9 spouses, (previously 10, but that one was divorced due to them trying to break up the wives and make them fight against each other, so they can keep all the attention and ''power'' of dendra, the ceo) and allloooot of children at a time is the natural conclusion.  he can afford so many wives because he made it a goal to be financially stable and provide for them so they can do whatever they want and not be obligated to do work they -dont- want. not all of them can have children, and he does not fault them for that. he did marry them for the initial goal of children, but he also wanted to love them dearly. so if they end up unable fulfill that duty, he will always love them anyways.

anyways all this to say is that he is happy his brother is fulfilling the species duty, but also wondering why he hasn't taken in more lovers lol. he is like the species ambassador and is looked up to as the ideal. 

lol i had the idea of this monster species having a concerted effort to continue their lineage from a friend of mine, which is a funny in universe lore for all the shenanigans ill do with them.
