this was something i had in a dream where two imp demons lost into the woods (one of them is blue but lets just assume its a rare imp variant) find each other and travel their way to civilization, wherever that may be.

the red one became very interested soon enough and wants to mate with the blue one. the blue one however, being in the forest longer than him, was less interested. however, blue was not against it, since red was also attractive. blue needed more time to come with a conclusion. so... the red one does many things to seduce the blue one while traveling, which makes the blue one more and more interested over time, albeit a little embarrassed by the braziness of the red one.

they identified a system of behaviours and movements that both of them could understand, some much more easier to learn than others. like tail tucking was a clear sign of 'no' especially in regards to mating, by literally blocking the way.  a tail rise would indicate interest, even more so if they moved to display their behaviour.  ear flicking as contextual, either showing discontent or confusion/curiosity.

in the  dream red and blue eventually cuddle together for warmth, but blue would tail tuck to set up a boundary to not go further.  in the opposite, red would tail rise often which always seemed to indicate that red is down whenever. he doesn't always know he's doing it because of how expressly interested he is in blue. blue would eventually signal an interest to intimacy, usually by wrapping the tail near a limb, or simply undoing the tail tuck, usually accompanied by snuggling even more. and so they became mates.

it was a general lighthearted nsfw story, where red falls for blue and blue waiting to get to know red more before agreeing. red courting blue to a success. i have no idea if they find civilization lol.

in another interpretation, since my dreams like to branch off of themselves. they were not lost but just find each other on the same hunt. blue got dibs and was quicker which impressed red. they keep finding each other realizing they actually live near and decide to work together to hunt and provide. clothes were an option in this version.  red courts blue, same communication barrier since both of them began inhabiting the land recently from two opposite directions. blue accepts reds courting and they become mates.
