super simple parts, it was this or the way frogs actually mate lol

since their humanoid anyways, might as well give them some meat.

frog/toad humanoids have only one opening, called a vent or cloaca if you want to go further in. males have a longer slit to accommodate their penis. in some species females are bigger, in others the males are so the general consensus is mixed.

before mating they would croak at each other first, as a sign of consent and interest. after mating the eggs would be developed and spawned at a later date.

like my squid bois, these little amphibian bois have cyclical spawning irregardless of mating.  but it is considered normal to mate before the cycle so the eggs are fertilized

and not wasted.

once fertilized the eggs are left together in a designated area, where the survival of the fittest is the motto. this is to cull the hundreds into a manageable number like 10 or less. after the culling period the babies have now finished developing their lungs and growing their limbs. then the babies are placed in a new semi aquatic environment and fed small critters till they can largely live outside of the water, only coming back to hydrate their skin. they'll have their tails till they outgrow them in adulthood.

Do the babies know their parents? Since, they change mates every season? Do they have a private pond or are they just in a community of other frog/toad/froads/trogs spawn?

there are designated ponds for groups of mates in a tribe, but mostly many have their own large basin that's inherited generationally for this purpose. the spawns are rather small so the basins are perfectly fine for most of the babies early lifespan. after they grew up a little and can be distinguished, they are often in the ponds nearby, rather than the basin. there's man made areas that are specially designed like water playgrounds for those babies
