in modern setting!

i had an idea of a main character monster who was disguised as a human. he wanted to start a restaurant one day. by out of nowhere, he was targeted by a high level mercenary organization and he was almost killed. come to find out they had the wrong guy, all in a series of neglectful and downright wrong acts from the specific group that carried out the hit.

as a form of an official apology for this huuugge slight, they agreed not  only to execute the members that tried to kill him, they also agreed to fulfill his dream, as this organization is obscenely wealthy but also mostly upright. so his dream of starting a restaurant began. though he wasnt aware that monsters like him exist in such a huge mass, he will have a hard time adjusting to the norms of the monster underworld. 

his restaurant will function as a small spot for the monsters in the night, and during the day, it will be a human restaurant. he is soon known to be an excellent cook and with a bright personality he brings in lots of new folks. he also befriends members of the mercenary organization and learns more of the complex structure therein. 

romance, humour, and some interesting threats surround his human/monster life as a the best cook of the underworld.
