bro i worked for like 10 hours on refining those fungus parts. probably my favorite thing i did! it took long but it was very enjoyable and a nice break from things.

playing with the colors and making him all veiny and alieny. funfact: he truly believes that making himself colorful is the way to win a human's heart, and the pheromones totally didn't affect them, totally didn't hypnotize them into seeing a beautiful illusion lol. still he does it all to just try to have a relationship with a human. he dreams of love and friendships like from those memories he has of his origins.

from my dream ocs series, a monster in the zombie apocalypse. think last of us, but more colorful! he's a rare sentient fungus that from the shards of memories of all the infected humans that he was born out of, holds a deep desire for human contact.  he with many and many failures, tried various methods to have a friendly association, even going as far as too seduce them. (pheromones) his lack of speaking capabilities don't help him, and when he snaps them out of it to talk, they run off or try to kill him. he's very lonely and eventually after enough attempts, one of the humans don't respond as negatively. instead of approaching directly, this fungus followed and secretly protected the human, while trying to send signs that he is friendly from the shadows. he was afraid that this was the closest he can get to a relationship. the human caught on and got his identity before the fungus knew, and they developed an odd friendship. the next series of events is them getting casually sniped by other humans and finding a group that reluctantly accepted the zombie. especially because he eats other zombies and his mycelium network can actually work as a warning system. (spread them in the ground)

this was all made up on the spot, I only dreamt of his design and the human trying desperately to find clothes for him. doesn't help that the fungus doesn't have arms and hasn't learned to use his abilities with that level of dexterity. he often runs off

or eats the clothes because the fibers taste good.
