Onori and new human adina (Patreon)

Onori‘s group is meant to be open to all.  adina is intrigued and happens likes onori’s no bullshit attitude and fighting habits. So she often talks to him and asks for a friendly spar, even nessling herself with his group seamlessly. onori is cold towards her but can’t bring himself to objectively take her out of his group. She hasn’t done anything wrong and in fact is a great model human, one who has no issues with cephies at all And infact Hates others who act like that. she reminds him of his first human friends and crush, who left him behind. She in principle is a lot like him, curious, talkative, and most Of all, they both like him (platonically) for the same reason: that Onori is strong  and admire his attitude. it hurts his old wounds, and adina takes notice.
she confronts him eventually, feeling how he acts so differently with her and wonders what he has against her.
Onori realizes that he’s projecting, and she is not him, they are different people. She is brash while he was gentle, and she curses a lot more than he ever did. It wasn’t her fault and neither was he, even though it hurts him that he left, he knows deep down that his crush also had no choice in that matter, likely feeling the same. so he tells her bits and pieces of his history, enough that she can get the gist. soon he begins to try to treat her better, knowing she never deserved it and he has to grow past his own scars if he’s planning to realize his goals.
