New Contest goes live in January

A long but not that long time ago, when we have set up the monthly contests for the first time, we have decided that their purpose is to expand the 3D printing community. The Plastic Addicts contest was directed to patrons with FDM printers. We wanted to provide an opportunity to win a resin printer and become more all-around hobbyists.

A lot has changed in our community since then and the formula and the idea behind it became a bit outdated. On top of that, the rules required clarification, you have had questions. there were objections to some winning works not following the rules to the letter. Our goal was to always honor your creative spirit in the first place.

For those reasons, we have decided that the Plastic Addicts contest will be replaced by the new "3D Art Gallery" contest! The rules are simple. Show us your skill in any field of our hobby! It can be anything you can think of. A diorama, like before, a masterfully painted miniature, a thematic painting of a Bloodfields warband, a video animation, and any other art form.

We will be awarding the works that will impress us the most. And to do so it is not required to have a perfect technique. Sometimes the idea and the originality mean more to us than perfect NMM (although it helps:).

We want the contest to be about your creativity, that's why there will be no additional requirements, conditions, or limits to enter the contest. The only rule is that at least 1 Titan or Cyber Forge model or terrain has to be used. The % of our models used in your piece will also affect how much we like it of course.

If you have an idea, be sure to follow your inspiration for a chance to win a 3D Printer! We are also anticipating changes to the prizes, we are currently considering some new options for more appeal. We are also planning to showcase your work in our media as it truly deserves!

Bit of a leftfield release this one I feel. The preview models look cool an’ all - and I guess you could always use some quality monsters and things. But looking all the way back (I’ve been around since September and will stay ’cause I need that Dragon Empore loyalty titan), the Demon release is the only ”non-humanoid” release and even that had e few ones... I think to me the biggest draw is human like characters (and some lovely ladies among them for sure). I don’t play RPG’s, only skirmish and wargames. I hope this release is as awesome as the rest and it will have at least few humanoid characters in it as well...

Antonio Scalas - Fuin Arðon

Interesting one. Now I want several fungi to paint each as my favorite mushroom depending on the role. Fighting Boletus, rogue Amanitas and druid Psylocibes.

Anonymous

YES! The first release I'm here for and it's one of my favourite themes! Bring on the bullywugs, the snapping turtles, and all the swampy gribbly critters!

Brandon Underwood

Welcome! I’m rarely disappointed by a release with these people :) here’s hoping we get some modular grippoli!

Carlos Manuel Luna Cuenca

Well, not as atractive for me as was the barbarians or the fantasy arabs, but not every month can be amazing for me I suppose...

Anonymous

Check out Daybreak miniatures. They have dwarves this month. Smaller releases of exceptional quality.

Anonymous

Seems like some people aren't the biggest fan of this months stuff but it's already my favorite one so far, I absolutely ADORE the snapping turtle.

Anonymous

I'm always up for cool myconids, I just wish the applicable bases were in the same folder as the mini itself upon release...

Boss Salvage

That big ol' snapper is adorable <3

There will be. If it were just the models currently shown it would be by-far the smallest monthly release they've ever done.

Matthew Murphy

I am extremely excited for next month. Bring on the reptiles and amphibians!!!

Marcin

hmm not my style at all I think I will skip January.
