Hello everyone! August is coming! We are sweeping up every corner of the tavern for the grand opening! Today you can meet some of the first employees and visitors.

This is another line that will be coming to life in cooperation with Brent from GooberTown Hobbies!

In the 'Town of Dark Secrets: The Tavern', you will find a range of townsfolk and cultists miniatures with a climatic horror touch. Prepare for dark rituals and unsettling characters lurking around. Our goal for this line is to inspire stories and whole fantasy settings. Stay awhile and listen... to the tales of The Tavern!

More tavern/townsfolk miniatures are always needed! Really glad to see the Orc chef. One thing that's always missing from such sets are non-human patrons and workers at the tavern!

Anonymous

Not a fan of these ‘D&D’ related releases compared to your other work

Anonymous

These models are fantastic!

Aaron Bono

I love these. They are pretty unique.

Beau Blackwell

Wow, these are the best "townsfolk" sculpts I've ever seen!

Anonymous

Awesome! I would love to print up a whole tavern! Are the tables and scenery going to be included or have they already been released?

wordflyer

Love it. Needed figures like this to occupy the town builder structures I'm about to start in on.

Anonymous

Very Very cool. Thank you!!

Ralph Chilton

This goes awfully well with another big mini companies welcome pack!

Anonymous

The last guy totally looks like Greg the 3D Printing Pro. 😂

Anonymous

I like the townsfolks. I hope more deranged people like the chef will be added to the release.

Julian Schuetze

nice models, but not interesting enough for me to pay the same price as some of your other offerings

Falco

I love your models, but unfortunately I can't do anything with npcs. I'll probably have to pause next month. :(

Anonymous

Thank you! Having NPC's for my games really adds a realistic touch I've been missing. Not everyone needs to be in a heroic pose.

Anonymous

I love npcs and for dioramas they will be great

Anonymous

Cool sculpts but they should probably be a part of a monthly release, welcome pack or Bloodfields freebie add-on based on the style compared to the past releases. From the initial description I thought we would get characters larger than life but the preview pics are very bland looking and worst of all it looks like any hopes of modular characters seems like it won’t happen so we will be very limited to any variation which might otherwise save the subscription

Anonymous

Not gonna support the next month... the models are nice but not i dont have use for anyone

Anonymous

Can't wait to print these

Anonymous

These sculpts look great, but definitely not a fan of this release. If it was accompanied by a couple of Titans of Adventure characters, I think I would be much more excited, only tavern/npcs miniatures seem lacking to me.

Richard Mellow

Will we get the files to make the tavern? Or just people

Anonymous

These are great, all unique characters just waiting to be printed out and tell a tale. Not going to miss out on these guys.

Anonymous

Just when I go, I think I have just about all my basis covered in my dnd campaign. Boom... time for a tavern brawl. So excited

Anonymous

Yeah thats 100% a let down of a release. these will not be getting printed.

Anonymous

Look forward to seeing the other cultists and creatures that are going to go with this. Should go well with the Warewolves, Demons and Vampires.

Anonymous

Any news on the next loyalty model? I'm not really interested in August release but have been with you since December so could stick if the model is good

Anonymous

Love the eye patch lady... Feel a lot of character coming from that sculpt

Daniel Caswell

Stoked, This is exactly the type of thing I've been waiting for.

Anonymous

I too would love to know if the tavern will also be available! That would be amazing! The models themselves are awesome too though! Really love npcs like this! Makes our games a little more fun

Anonymous

These are AWSOME! Such great play opportunities!

Anonymous

The models are good, but really limited in functionality for war gaming, a lot of people who support patreons are looking for proxies they can use for their armies... The last collab with gobertown resulted in Spellblades, which was one of my favorite releases, this one...not so much

Daniel Henry

The guy sitting down pointing with his right hand, has an error. His model has tilted to the right and now his foot is inside the floor/base.

Anonymous

I freaking love these! Don't listen to the complainers. You work your asses off, thank you for all your hard work.

Anonymous

I think these look great! Maybe adding some woodland creatures, hounds, and beast masters to augment these. Maybe a sherif. Those are some units missing for games like KoW or old hammer. I’m happy with these either way.

Anonymous

Literally was just hunting around for models to put in my tavern book nook, love it.

Anonymous

I hope there is a suprised one.

Anonymous

Was looking a long time for GOOD tavern character! Like James Star, I'm doing a book nook. I presume the terrain is the tavern?

Yokel OMigosh

I was really excited to see these come back after the original poll. Here's one more voice in the happy column! Plus, can't go wrong with Brent.

Anonymous

I've been excited for this set since the announcement last month...

Anonymous

Sure they look great... do i want them... no. This is such a disappointing set after back to back great release. I hate dwarves and even those I was like, yes please. This as part of the free rpg set, sure. As a main release? I think you may lose backers for the month of august.

Anonymous

Finally something different that's not 40K. Awesome

William E. Anker

Awesome looking models for my Pathfinder group. Keep up the good work!

Albert Lopez

This would be great for a dragon lance tavern scene

Brandon Underwood

Well, it’s easy to tell who primarily plays D&D and who sweats it out over a 4x6. I came for the Dragon Empire and dwarves, but am happy to stick around this month, even if I don’t have an immediate use for these!

Anonymous

Love it!

Lisa Kellogg

These are great will look great in my town. They have real character love the fat barmaid I already have 6 versions of the typical pretty, sexy barmaid love her she's great.

Steve Howland

I'm going to have to pass on next month. I have no use for npc or DND releases. I'll hopefully be back in September for the next bloodfields release

Anonymous

Excellent release. Empire/landsknecht style townsfolk and troops sometime aswell?

Anonymous

Looking forward to this release. I do not do much gaming with miniatures, I just enjoy painting them. I already have several diorama ideas for these.

Anonymous

please tell me there will be a card to use that chef with my ogres in bloodfields

Cody Good

very good story telling for dnd but yea i agree running a modern/post apoc board and samurai-esque board so hard for me to find use but i want that fat drunk noble somewhere i might literally just make a dio or print these for a fantasy board for someone else just to see that fat bastard in a scene....and come on we need 238 patrons to get that sweet 70 percent off....daddy needs that dragon empire 1 drop

Matthew Williams

Don’t forget about the loyalty models. I doubt I’ll ever print any of these, but I know I’m in for the September blood fields release, so I’ll stay in just so I get the loyalty model. These modes are great, I just don’t know what I’d use them for and my printer backlog is already pretty lengthy.

Nicholas Brennan

Is it just tavern people next month then? Orrrrrr

Anonymous

These are great models! NPC models are often neglected and I'm excited for this release!

David Holden

I’ll be subbing for the first time next month, I’ve been waiting for someone to do a good tavern/ npc pack. You can do so much with these.

Anonymous

Love it! I'm not a huge mini user for RPG's but i still appreciate the work that went in to these, be great for dioramas or just straight painting projects. Please keep the variation of monthly releases up!

Sezoxeufu

I really enjoy these spin off releases like this and they're actually more use to us GM types.

Anonymous

I can't say I'm eager to get these Tavern miniatures. I doubt I would ever get to print any of them. I would actually prefer if you had a pay-by-product kind of subscription, or I might just quit this and stick to Cyber Forge only for now.

Anonymous

While these are nice, I do hope there's more coming next month. Right now I'd possibly opt out except for FOMO about the unrevealed loyalty bonus model.

Gábor Tóth

Same here. I only consider staying for next month is the loyalty model. Otherwise not interested.

Will Reynolds

I'm really looking forward to these!

Anonymous

Love them! Ultra excited :)

Andrew Johnstone

Not a great fan of these i must admit so will just look forward for Septembers release

Anonymous

WHERE IS MY OLD PROSTITUTE? I AM DISAPOINT(ed)! She fits this set like a glove...

Joy Doner

The hair on her cracked me up...I immediately thought "barmaid Karen"

Brad Sanders

This is AWESOME!!! Love it! Finally sculpts and characters worthy of my tavern!!!

Anonymous

As someone who uses your models for games like Warhammer, I'm not too excited about August's release, as it seems more geared towards D&D players. Oh well, fingers crossed September will be different. Keep up the great work!

Anonymous

These are incredible! Perfect for DMing. Thankyou for doing this !

Anonymous

Yeah but I bet his supports suck and I doubt he sounds like Jesse Ventura!

Anonymous

Meh! Hope there is something else to go with these, I won't print these and the only reason to stick around for next month is to get the Loyalty model assuming its any good!

Anonymous

Great work on this guys! I came on to your Patreon primarily for Warhammer.... but this rekindles my need to run a campaign again. This would definitely work great as the main location. Thanks!!

Anonymous

These are pretty meh honestly, there are already plenty of tavern and villager models out there

Neuntausend

Now this looks like a really useful one for once. Don't get me wrong, I adore pretty much everything you make, but how often does one need a token for an undead vampire horse carriage or an asian dragon, really? But townsfolk, ruffians and other rabble? Those are useful pretty much all the time!

Anonymous

Be the first one I'll jump in on, been following for a while waiting for something I will regularly use on my tabletop. This is awesome. Obviously getting mixed feedback here, but I'm looking forward to it.

StarWarsGeek

It's amazing to read thru the comments, they seem to switch back and forth between "love it" and "hate it" every other comment. It's probably not possible to please every single patron every month.

Anonymous

Definitely impossible to please everyone. Honestly, a lot of the minis every month won't get used by me, but the models are consistently high quality. I look at it as a way to build a backlog of outstanding models for just about any need I may have. I love what they do and how they do it.

Anonymous

I feel they are very well sculpted, I just don’t see my self needing to print miniatures for none combat scenarios when I can just theater of the mind it. I guess my problem with this month is that I have a problem using maps and miniatures outside of combat.

Gábor Tóbi

Good npc models, but don't know how to use them. This is going to be a double release with Amazon 2.0, right?

Anonymous

I love these, and would definitely like to see more non-combat types, but I understand that I may be in the minority here. For those not sure how to use these minis, I'd recommend checking out the scenario, "A Social Affair" for the Vice Alley supplement for Pulp Alley. It's a REALLY fun take on how the same rules for a minis skirmish game can be used to simulate a dinner party, with verbal sparring, etc. These would be perfect for that sort of thing.

Geburah

Nice! I especially enjoy the female mercenary/rogue and her male counterpart. Lots of character there and it's not often you see injured characters. Would actually enjoy seeing alternate poses for some of these sculpts: uninjured for the mercenaries and "bar brawl mode" for the drinking figues. I dislike the barmaid figure because the proportions seem off in an inhuman manner - is she supposed to be human or is she a half-orc? I like the idea of the figure, it's just something about the execution bothers me.

Will Reynolds

I've been thinking... The perfect addition for this pack would be a tavern dog? Please!!!

Daniel Shear

i hear youn on the 70 percent waiting for that i want dragon empire 1 and 1.5 and the spell casters

Daniel Shear

well if now I know what to do with the Bard from bloodfields

Dick Teh

i can see why people would like this, but it is just not for me. I have no place for these characters on my table lol. Maybe if we have some typical adventurers sculpt, these just look like plain town folks. Either way, i am keeping my pledge waiting for September.

Adam

Well I hated the Spellblade release... And I like this one... Als o disliked the insect people... So you don't always get what you want.

Daniel Shear

Loot studios did something like this as their welcome package and they have 3 heroes that come with it and each month they put out a different pose of each hero and a different set of monsters they're fighting so it's more like a monthly campaign instead of just here is more monsters

wordflyer

Right? I understand a lot of people theater of the mind social situations, but in my world it's far likelier an inn/tavern will be besieged by monsters with the party inside than I'll find a way to use a vampire ghost wagon. NPCs can give a party people to protect... Or use as meatshields.

Anonymous

Excellent. So much personality in the sculpts. The NPCencounters write themselves. I would really like to see a release of a noble court. Sycophants and servents, generals, ladies, and all manner of retinue types. Keep up the great work y'all!

WRL23

weeeee now this is something ive been waiting for! I need more scenery and 'npc' types

Anonymous

Town of Dark Secrets is starting off with a bang! These miniatures are amazing, one and all. These common folks have so much character and can be used in some many ways. Miniature Collectors? Check. Non-Gamer Miniature Painters? Check. Role-Players? Check. Skirmish Gamers? Check. Fantasy Wargamers? Check. GrimDark Wargamers? Check. I disagree strongly that these miniatures aren't suitable for wargames. They make easy and fun objective markers. Also, any and every Warhammer Fantasy/AoS faction has reason to hold these regular folks hostage. Just as in role-playing games, these fabulous miniatures create their own narratives. It would be fun to convert these miniature to make them 40K/GrimDark characters. A few bionic limbs or eyes here and there. A holstered pistol added to a model's belt. Overall, these towns folk are brilliant and I'm looking forward to the whole Town of Dark Secrets range! More like these please.

Obscurities in Miniature

We have on a few occasions built entire warbands of townsfolk and unusual models for the sheer joy of seeing what odd combinations and narratives can come out of it. That barmaid already has the makings of an MVP!

Axel Schudak

Would love to see some more historically inspired characters, too, but these certainly already look like a splendid lot.

Rick Brasche

I wish I had my old gaming group. these wouldn't be NPCs, they'd be our party members!

Anonymous

I couldn't be less excited for a month of Tavern NPCs.

Anonymous

I am not too excited about a tavern set, but seeing as it was done with Brent, I will print and paint them and treasure them always. For Brent!

Anthony Spruyt

Really looking forward to these!

Anonymous

Damn missed the cyber forge launch discount. But super happy to get my hands on these. Thanks for creating some beautiful sculpts and being one of the very few Cyberpunk/Shadowrun figure creators.

Anonymous

Realle love this release. Hope the Tavern is really that big as shown in the picture. But on first look, i thought Brant is missing a leg ^^

Nick Adegite

definitely need to actually look at the modes in your slicer to solve....pictures don't do it lol
