Hey everyone!

We are on schedule!  The first round of punishments are done and I am hard at work on the next round of building misadventures.  They are coming along very well.  It's nice to finally crack Harmony's armor after all this time.  ^_^

My lovely wife is on track too!  We are firing on all cylinders.

Have a great week, guys!

Tried playing BtP for the first time in a while. Some feedback: The action economy needs some much better explanation. "Actions: 17/2" - no idea what that means. When i put troops on the walls the numbers do not change, but in some turns I might or might not get a message "You planned for too many troops to move. Free 2 actions." Moving troops off the all does not help, so I always have to remove guards from a caravan. This makes no sense. You might want to have a good think about what exactly the action stuff is adding to the game. If it is supposed to make the player make certain decisions, then the information required to make those decisions needs to be clearly presented. Right now it is just a source of frustration, at least for new players. The combat system is better, but still fairly confusing. (In the early game, you appear to simply be screwed when 2 flyers show up for example, which does not sound right. And rushdown works in a way that I have trouble predicting.) There is a combat tutorial, but it is not accessible from the game. Please, please, in the right-click help menu add an example showing how rushdown works when there are multiple units on each side.

OK, played a bit-- I figured out the X/Y bit in the top right action box, but it should still be explained better in the intro. But what is just insanely frustrating is what happens when you accidentally go over the action cap. You are told to "undo" some things, but if you do not recall exactly which placements you were charged for you're screwed. You cannot undo the expensive stuff (placing buildings, trips to sell gems or hunt) so you have to take guys out of buildings. If you guess the wrong one, the guy is gone from the building and you get no credit (and if you try to un-undo that, you go deeper into the hole because that was an extra action!) Suggestion: Just scrap the actions system. It is very frustrating in the early game, and irrelevant in the late game.
