Hey everyone!

Long time since the last update!  For those of you who don’t know, I busted my hand while exercising.  It took a while to heal and I was at half speed for a long time while it did so.  I did manage to do quite a lot in the time I was down, though.

Now back to the game.  The biggest change is the battle system.  The old way became very math-y after a while.  While I am sure it’s ok with a lot of you, I know some people are not up for big math while they are watching smut.  Hehe.  The new way is easier on the numbers but more about positioning units.  The troops will now face the opposing enemies directly.

Example:

Monster attack 2  VS  Troop attack 3  <-- Win

Monster attack 2  VS  Troop attack 1  <-- Loss

Monster attack 2  VS  Troop attack 2  <-- Clash


If your troop wins, they automatically survive and you gain some happiness.

If your troop loses, they automatically die and you gain some lust.

If there is a Clash, your troop rolls their "live" percentage.  If they roll under it, it counts as a win, if they roll over it, it counts as a loss.

Watch out for the rushdown skill.  It can really throw a wrench into your calculations as booting a unit out of the battle changes the unit order.

Each loss gives one damage to that battle's wall.  If the wall hits zero and there are still losses to go, you lose one random building per extra loss.

I think it will make the fighting more exciting and engaging!

The deets:


- Added the “press space” graphic and functionality to the text box (to toggle it on/off).

- Make it so that the toolbars will close if you click somewhere else.  (troops, buildings and system)

- Added an indicator of where your troops are posted so they are easy to locate later.

- Unseen smut scenes will now have a particle effect to let you know they are new.

- Added a full screen button to the main screen and System tab.

- Added an exit button to the main screen and System tab.

- “Rushdown” now always targets the opposing unit on the other side.

- “Snipe” now always starts a Clash with opposing flyer.

- “Rage” now always starts a Clash with the opposing enemy.

- Lowered the price for the first two “army deployment” proclamations.

- Walls no longer dictate the number of spots in battle.  Instead, they give a number of troops equal to the wall's number a 30% boost to surviving.

- Walls go up to 8 now, rather than 5.

- Troops protected by walls now have a little wall graphic to know at a glance.

- Added a "remove" graphic that will appear when you hover the mouse over the troop stats.  Letting you know you can click the troop off.

- Added arrows to move the troops up and down in the army panels.  (to help with positioning)

- The number shown on enemy and troop total is now just the number of units present.  Not the total of their attacks.

- Battles are now unit VS unit rather than the total of all strengths calculated.

- Added Drakdor to the mansion's tab.  You can now talk with the people depending on which buildings you have in your town.

- Added 7 Drakdor talks (smut and get to know the town).

- New CG (Elizabeth s*x)

- Updated the right click help screen.

- Updated new game tutorial.

- Fixed bug:  Can’t put a building down on top of an old building.

- Fixed bug:  When troops are selected, only open the town buildings that can receive them.


Next month, I will write more talking scenes.  Both for the town and the girls.  I will also be adding in the battle screen where the battles will play out for you.  Seeing them will give you a much better idea of how they proceed which will make it easier for you to deploy your units.  I also have a friend making unit sprites for it.  (You can see a few of them if you are at least a 1$ patron)

I'm still waiting for the game to be a bit more polished to even play it. Last I checked it out, the UI was super confusing. I don't think I played the new game at all. I support you for your other two games, which I think you should sell on Steam since they're very well made.

Thanks for the support. ^_^ Breaking the princess is getting polished more and more as I play it. I did look into steam and will probably try it at some point.
