 Hey everyone!   

This week involved a lot of playing and a realization.  I made myself a nice big list of things to change or tweak and was in the process of starting to change the first battle into a tutorial when it hit me.  

When I started this game, I had a comment that said that the fighting didn't feel like you were battling Cassandra.  After playing the game a bunch, I can see where that person was coming from.  So, I'm going to change some stuff.  Instead of racing to 50 influence, you and her will start at 50 and the first one to get the opponent to 0 will win that battle.  That way, it will feel a lot more like you're fighting her.

This new direction will necessitate quite a few changes, though.  I'll also have to make a few new attack cards.  As I'm pretty far into this month already, I'll just cancel my work on the tutorial for now since the game will change a little and instead, I'll write Emily scenes.

This upcoming build will be sexy scene focused and the next one will be game focused.

I agree. To be honest, i felt it was kind of lacking in dialogue. Personally, I feel like the numbers should be done in the background and the player should be choosing from dirty tactics at work. There should probably be a sentence or two explaining what the character did to undermine her after each round ends.

I think that's a question of taste. What you're describing wouldn't be bad, but there's nothing wrong with having more explicitly gamified mechanics.

I wasn't ever bothered by the way it worked, but now that you've outlined the change it really does sound like a better way of handling things. I'm glad you're still willing to make big changes at this point.
