I'd like to say that development is progressing well, but... my computer broke down last week and when I took it in for repairs, it blew $400 😭

I was sad that I couldn't work on anything for less than a week... dammit!

Well..., after all that sadness, I've made quite a bit of progress on this post #6...!!

You'll know it when you see new elements.

Especially the action, which is also in the thumbnail, is the highlight of this one! That's major progress leading to the side-view camera element I introduced back in #1! (By the way, they had to rework that camera feature and it's not there now!)

And since #5 was released exclusively to supporters until today, this is the first time many of you will see the new 3D model of Arashi for the first time. Look at Arashi looking prettier than ever before~!

⬛ A little story that I couldn't write in the #6 video.

This is the centerpiece of this time, the fighting system assets. It's called the "Stylish Combat Starter Kit (SCSK)". It's the latest addition to the assets that went on sale this summer.

Up until now, there have been combat system assets, but they've been mostly medieval sword-fighting and gun-fighting systems, and these speedy melee-fighting systems have never existed.

I wanted to make a game with this SCSK type of combat, so I didn't hesitate to buy it. However, there are two types of assets that make up a system like this.

One is a "Component" that can be easily added to a project in production. The other is the "Starter kit", which is useful when starting a project.

That's right, it's a "Stylish Combat " Starter Kit". It wasn't made for integration into the project I'm building.

Furthermore, the "Advanced Locomotion System V4 (ALS V4)" that I use as a large part of the foundation is very major, and if it's a popular combat system asset, those are often posted integration tutorial videos (or documents). But since this is the latest asset, we didn't have a tutorial for it yet.

I used the knowledge I had to try to integrate ALS V4 and SCSK.

After a 2-3 weeks of trial and error, I managed to get it integrated...

For an expert, it may not seem like such a big deal to integrate an existing system, but integration also requires knowledge, so it was very difficult to analyze and trial and error without a tutorial and without knowing whether it would be successful or not.

Combining it with a clean initial state of ALS V4 is not easy, but combining it with a project that is playing around with this and that, it was more hard work...

Then I completed it. I complained for a long time, but it was really hard work.... Even if I relied on the assets, it's still in this state, so I wonder what it would look like now if I made it from scratch... Thanks to the asset developers... 🙏

So, we're almost to the stage where we can distribute the trial version. We're just a breath away from completing the basics...!

Thanks to our supporters, this project is moving forward, thank you!

I look forward to working with you.

The jiggle physics are strong... Anyways, I'm enjoying you messing around with creating a video game. The fighting animations are kind of interesting: they obviously aren't as fluid or realistic as most fighting games, but the hit-stop like effect is rather interesting and gives an impression of power and dynamism while remaining simple.
