Meet the Frenchy Peignoir Set! This month’s pattern was so much fun to design—and it’s even more fun to wear! The Frenchy Peignoir Set is a flared trapeze-style nightie and matching robe, with multiple options for length, decoration, and details. Depending on your fabric and lining choice, the peignoir set can be demure, luxurious, or risqué, and the robe brings all the drama with those big bubble sleeves!
We sewed our nighties and robes from sheer nylon tricot chiffon (which dyes beautifully!), and lined the nighties with nylon tricot. For added drama, we used lace sleeves underlined with tulle for one of our robes.
In this month's photos, we've created matching robe and nightie sets out of white sheer and opaque nylon tricot, then easily dyed each nightie and rob using Rit dyes in bright pastel colors. (Swipe to the end of the photos for a scary surprise . . . mwah hah hah!) To get into the glam Halloween spirit, we also created a purple spiderweb option with a lovely Grecian belt so you can hand out candy in style!
Wondering about fabrics and supplies? Check out the written instructions at the bottom of this post for links and recommendations. You'll also find the tiled file (for printing at home on A4 or letter size sheets and taping together) and the A0 file (for printing at a copy shop like pdfplotting.com). Please note that we now have two size blocks, so make sure to download the correct files for the size you're making. If you have any questions about the new range, don't forget to read our blog post with all the details!
