Happy March, artists! I'm so excited to introduce you to the Lizabeth Raglan Top, a pullover raglan blouse with a dramatic '50s wing collar. Named for Lizabeth Scott, who starred alongside Elvis Presley in the movie Loving You, this top has a ton of options. Make a hip-length version with long sleeves for an office-appropriate blouse, and tuck it in or cinch it with an elastic belt. The cropped drawstring waist version with three-quarter cuffed sleeves is the one that screams Lizabeth to me, especially when worn over a slim turtleneck a with cigarette pants or a pencil skirt and pumps. Or channel the King himself and go full rockabilly in two-tone black and pink with a ribbed cuff and waistband (pair with your Marilyn Jeans for bonus points!).

Don’t miss this month's video tutorial walking you through the full construction process, including raglan sleeve basics, sewing a perfect wing collar, making the drawstring waist, and more.

Wondering about fabrics and supplies? Check out the video and written instructions at the bottom of this post for links and recommendations. You'll also find the tiled file (for printing at home on A4 or letter size sheets and taping together) and the A0 file (for printing at a copy shop like pdfplotting.com). Please note that we now have two size blocks, so make sure to download the correct files for the size you're making. If you have any questions about the new range, don't forget to read our blog post with all the details!

Check out our video for the #LizabethRaglanTop in the next post!

And don't forget this is a guest artist month for those in the bonus tiers! Stay tuned for a spectacular guest designed pattern in just a couple weeks.

xoxo,

Gertie
