Welcome to the first day of the Charm Halloween Extravaganza! We have thirteen (yes, thirteen!) days of tricks and treats coming your way across all of our platforms. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and keep an eye on our blog so you don't miss anything!

Today's treat is more sweet than spooky, but it's the perfect pattern to complete your costume (or to wear day to day!). The Waspie Corset Belt is the perfect accessory for that cinched silhouette. Based on the waspie corsets of Dior’s New Look, this narrow corset is meant to be seen! It pairs beautifully with flared dresses and skirts (and is the perfect thing for lots of cosplay and costume projects--think Mary Poppins, Princess Aurora, and more!). This belt is made with real corsetmaking techniques, so it’s a great entrée into that world. Don’t forget to watch this month’s video to learn all about the supplies and techniques in this project!

We went with a Disney attraction theme for our versions, with mine taking inspiration from the Haunted Mansion's tightrope walker, and Gigi's giving a nod to Redd from Pirates of the Carribean.

Wondering about fabrics and supplies? Check out the written instructions at the bottom of this post for links and recommendations. You'll also find the tiled file (for printing at home on A4 or letter size sheets and taping together) and the A0 file (for printing at a copy shop likepdfplotting.com). Please note that we now have two size blocks, so make sure to download the correct files for the size you're making. If you have any questions about the new range, don't forget to read our blog post with all the details!

Check out my video for the #WaspieCorsetBelt here!

Hope you love it!

xoxo,

Gertie

P.S. As a reminder, please do not share these photos or patterns to other social media sites so that we can keep creating exclusive new content for you!
