Hi scouts! Now that the excitement of yesterday’s launch is behind us, I wanted to take a moment to remind us all of the Charm Scout Laws, especially this one: “A Charm Scout is kind and cheerful, especially online.”

One thing I’ve always loved about this Patreon community is that it has been devoid of the abrasiveness and combativeness that seems so prevalent elsewhere online. So I was especially surprised and disappointed to see so many negative and hurtful comments here yesterday (mostly in regards to the Esther Swimsuit design). I understand that not every design will be everyone’s favorite, but please remember that every project you see here was the result of an entire team working to create content that we fervently hope you will love. We all read your comments, and seeing words like “horrible” or “awful” is hurtful and not constructive.

If a project isn’t for you, I totally understand! Just know that we have tons of upcoming content that will hopefully be more up your alley. In the meantime, take advantage of the entire archive of patterns available to you, watch a video to learn a new skill, chat with other scouts on the Discord, or take part in our live events.

Above all, I would love to keep this a positive place where people can feel free of the toxic qualities that we often see on social media. Before you comment, please remember the Charm Scout laws. I can’t wait to show you what else we have in store for you this year.

Xoxo,

Gertie

Im m so sorry that you had to deal with that kind of situation. I am so behind of everything especially my health. I am trying to keep it up with your blogs even though I do not make all of it. I am trying to keep it up in my pace and hopefully I can finish some of your patterns on the way. I am still learning how to sew and all. I do really enjoying your videos and challenges. I guess that is all about. :)
