Now that i had my sleep and while rewatching the episode, i couldn’t help but realise this scene in the anime was confusing lol. Reminds me of a certain scene in clover where i felt like way too much was going on at the same time.

A very small issue, takes nothing away from how great Gear 5 looked with goofyness and sound affects. But i thought il just point it out, now that i read manga, guess its good to compare in a sense.

This has been my main complaint with the anime over the last year, the animation is overly done. Hell, even going back to Zoro vs Killer earlier in Wano. Same with the auras and massive over-the-top explosions they add like its DBZ, don't have any of it in the manga and you can understand everything happening clearly.

animation is bad? everyone: TOEI WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHY IS THIS SO BAD animation is good? everyone: TOEI WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHY IS THIS SO OVER ANIMATED? lol always a problem w OP fans... the episode was great. we all know the reason TOEI drags out episodes this is nothing new... Orochi scene happened in the manga so blame Oda for putting that there in the middle of peak. the reused animations i understand the frustration but not a HUGE problem people are making it out to be... just calm down. REWATCH the episode and realize they did a great job adapting everything from the manga...

It's the summer holidays here in the UK. Khan did say month or so ago that likely end of July into early August, when it begins, he'd be busy since kids are off school during this period. Because of that he's only gonna do the weekly stuff for now until they return to school in early September

Did you read the manga before? Then you knew what was going to happen. As an anime only it is quite tough to catch whats going on there

I thought that as well when I first watch it. But as I watched the scene more, I realized I could actually follow everything happening. I think (speaking for myself), as a manga reader, I obviously knew how the scene was supposed to go. So when it first starts and it's already different then the manga, my mind starts to struggle to keep up because it's already not the same. Once I got over that, it's actually super easy to see what's going on and it's only made me love the anime's adaptation more

The other thing I'll add to this. Despite the flashbacks and the filler time that Toei loves to add anyways, they were EXTREMELY 1 to 1 with the manga. The way they changed the Zoro fight, I was expecting them to go way left field, and they still might, but it was incredibly 1 for 1, except for MUKI MUKI...MUKI!!! Which I love btw
