If you mean best in general it has to be Berserk. To continue I chose odd taxi since it's short only 12 episodes and then you can move on to longer anime in that list.

Khan you will love Berserk, but please make sure it’s the 97 anime. Both the Japanese sub and English dub (which is top tier) are free on YouTube. I would love to see you do a manga read-through of the series as well. It’s the best art manga has to offer.

As much as I love Berserk, it's gotta be Clannad. Esspecially if we're talking just the anime. Clannad is a bit of a slow starter, but I know Khan would love it if he ever finished it

While i respect all contenders here, i gotta give my shoutout to the High fantasy/ Dark (at times comedic) world of Drifters. Nobunaga, Toyohisa & Yoichi, All SAVAGES, Made for WAR and plopped into this strange world that is crawling with other beasts and elves?! Drifters is a DOPE hidden gem that i hope we all get to enjoy one day. But big up the roster, would not be mad at Berserk, TYE and a lot of them.

Please read the manga for Berserk UK, its on the same level as vinland saga and one piece. You'll love it

I'd say the berserk manga, it's easier to get into now you're doing kingdom and one piece manga wise. It might sound absurd to say, but it also has a better animation than the anime.
