Rereading the manga again with khan is proving to me once again how much the anime sucks ass in comparison.

It's a little bit unfair to compare these chapters to what happened before tho . The manga was really bad during the Udon Stuff and below average in many other Wano chapters. Khan switched exactly when the best moments in Wano were starting (And pretty much everything that comes after this is also better than most of Wano imo). Plus he can binge again, so of course he enjoys it more . The Oden Flashback as a whole was way better in the Anime imo. Episode 1015 and many other anime ep's were also way better than the manga counterparts.(But of course there where also many bad Episodes) . His reactions were on the same level as these ones back when he was binging and catching up to the Anime ....Let's see how he feels after he catches up and has to deal with 2 or 3 week breaks when reading the manga ... ;)

below average don't exist in this series fam, but yea i agree. the anime is easily better than the manga. pacing doesn't affect me much i only read because the story is further ahead

Pacing is really the only thing keeping the anime from being better straight up. Voice acting and music (animation too of course) do a lot for anime, but bad pacing can mess it up big time. I really can't sit through some episodes where they take forever running somewhere or do long stare downs. I've always preferred manga for long running series like OP, Bleach, Naruto. Sometimes the colour choices for character designs in anime is kinda wack too lol but that's not a big issue.
