More Kammie, more Knox, more fun. Kammie finally gets to begin her work in the mortal realm. I find that I really miss Rachel's voice in this series, though! The original RLP, which was written from Knox's PoV, was a fun idea. The sequel, which is mostly (4/5 installments) in Rachel's, was a fun piece. Her basic innocence and sweetness in contrast to the way she's being used and abused struck me as just goddamn adorable, and now that she's been sidelined, I find myself missing it. Kammie is working hard to console me, at least, and there is at least some appeal to Knox and his gruff dickishness in this world seemingly filled with hot women who want to fuck him. For now, hopefully it's enough.

More to come!

P.S. I attached the song I used for inspiration for Kammie's piano playing, if that's your thing.

It's nice to see an author willing to treat Crankiness as a neutral attribute, rather than the sort that the Disney Industrial Complex might try and "correct". It's a normal, human emotional state! Everyone has an asshole, and Assholes are Everyone!

Fun to spend a chapter getting to know Knox, since even erotica protagonists need to have more depth than Always Be Fucking. Even porn stars watch Squid Game, you know? People have other interests, and Maslow's hierarchy wasn't just a list of sex positions. I really enjoyed the hard, nearly-eternal work of Kammie, to get Knox to be even *briefly* honest about his lack of ambition and need for conflict. He likes things being annoying, because it gives him license to be an asshole. But he also... god, he might actually want a little of that domesticity that Kammie was teasing him with. He let Rachel into his -- his entire life -- and that has some hidden benefits. Very neat to see those feelings develop in our resolutely unlikable protagonist. Plus, some incredibly hot porno! Knox is right to find Turning A Sarcastic Babe Into A Quivering Mess a super hot scenario, and the writing bore that out. Just a great chapter, all the way around. Thanks!
