Remember a year and change ago when I wrote a little story called Losers? Well good news: books 2 and 3 are now available! I've been working on these for a while now, and we've finally got something for you. Each book is a novella, 60-90 pages, and follows the tale of Clark High hottie Chanda Brighton going through a process called the Lottery, in which young women are auctioned off at age 18 to be molded into whatever their winner desires. It's a lot darker than a lot of my stuff, but it's a good read nonetheless. This is the whole series, start to finish, nothing further to anticipate, so if you're the sort who wanted to wait until it was done before diving in, here you go. All done. The order of the series is:

1) Losers

2) Winners

3) Survivors

so make sure that's the order you read it in or I don't hold myself accountable for any frustration or confusion you experience.

What's next on the chopping block? Well, as always we have a few smaller projects in the works, including Heavy is the Head over on CYOA, as well as a couple commissions in the works. The next Big Project is going to be book 2 of Character Creation, the sequel to Gamemaster's Screen. I'll still be doing other stuff, of course, since one never knows when I'll wake up with the seed of a 30-chapter book in my head.

In the meantime, I hope you're all doing well, and have reason to smile once in a while. More to come, but for now, here's some things I wrote!

Any difference in this book 2 from the one posted on your google doc?

Book 2 is as it was, aside from the addition of cover art.

The read was good. Book 3 was a bit longer than the other two, but I still wish for a bit more slice of life happiness for after. It ends on a good note at least. I can’t imagine the apocalypse in 20 years though. Eek. Every system is flawed but oh boy. I also hope they do adjustments regularly during 30 years. I think 18yo are not good planers for provisioning for needs in 5 or 10 or 20 years.

What a great trilogy, I super enjoyed part 3. Chanda is one of the better protagonists, such a perfect portrayal of someone losing their agency while not being a passive character. Chanda interacting with the other losers was always the most fun, and I loved trying to figure out what the actual programming in her head was encouraging her to do.
