As of this morning, my rough draft of We, The Nighthawks is complete! The word count at the moment is a whopping 126,476 words, around 300 pages. I loved writing every word of this sucker, folks. It makes me want to go career on magical yearbook erotica and see if I can't make bank. :) I may yet change the title and save WTN for the final book in the trilogy, but we'll see. For only $50, you can go back and read all the rough drafts of the chapters, but that is clearly insane so don't do that. (For you clearly insane patrons, I mean, you know what you are, but rest assured I love you for it.)

Now all I have to do is reread, edit, revise, and fix all the needs-fixings in it, and we're golden. That's obviously not an overnight affair in this kind of bulk, but my goal is to be done in 2 weeks time. Sooner, hopefully, but definitely in time to make one heck of an awkward stocking stuffer. (Or, if the people in your life are cool enough, maybe the most awesome stocking stuffer ever.)

Once I'm done, I have a few commissions to get to, and some short story ideas of my own to play with, and then I'll be back at it on TIOS 3. I plan on taking a writing retreat/hermitage early next year sometime, too, so hopefully that'll be a good chance to really put the pedal to the medal. We'll see. More to come!

Update: more than halfway done with editing! It's grueling, but we're getting there. Only 150 pages to go...

63 and counting - chapters 11-14 remaining!

DONE. At exactly 300 pages, the editing is completed! It still needs a cover, but once that's taken care of, we're good to go!

For anyone actually waiting with bated breath, the book is totally finished - just waiting for Amazon to approve so I have a link to share.
