New Wiki

I've been dissatisfied with the old Wiki for a while now, so I've finally switched to a different wiki software now (Bookstack). Previously I've been using MediaWiki, which is very powerful and feature-rich, but also requires a lot of maintenance and it was too complex and bulky for my purposes. Plus, Bookstack looks very sleek and modern out of the box:

I'm working on adding better documentation for the scripting API as well, but that's still a work-in-progress 😅.


Other changes

• Support for Filmic-Blender tone mapping (currently only enabled when using the external render tool)

• Overhauled subsurface scattering settings

Based on this post I've made some changes to simplify the subsurface scattering controls for materials for the Cycles renderer:

In general you should only have to select a preset and tweak the scatter color now to get good results. Visit the wiki for more information.

• In-game video tutorials

I've added a new tab and a video player for in-game tutorials, though it's mostly just a placeholder for now, as there are no actual tutorials yet.

 • Animation caching

I've added a new animation caching system, which should speed up animation playback quite a bit (at the cost of increased loading times when importing a SFM session). It's still somewhat experimental, however.
