Whirlwind Weekend (Patreon)

This weekend has been insane. I haven't even had time to sleep properly. Thursday was an 8 hour drive followed by 5 hours of makeup, hair styling, and modeling. Also included this night was a nasty fall which resulted in some serious back pain all weekend. Let this be a lesson to you all to not be doing makeup in 7" heels in a tight, cluttered space. 😳🙈👠 Friday I tried to sleep in, but failed a bit. I went to the gym and picked up chairs for my social media workshop, then had to get to the studio to get the class set up and make sure the presentation went smoothly. I had a total of 6 people there, and asked a friend to critique. I got some great feedback on what to improve. Saturday was a busy one. I had a meeting with Aubree or Fatally Feminine Designs (@macaronsandstilettos on IG) then had to scramble for a baby shower gift for my good friend, Desirre. This shower was the purpose of the trip. I believe this is the first time in my life I have seen a friend truly be prepared for her baby. Her and her hubby are gonna be great parents! The rest of the night was filled with hilarious baby shower games and mingling with the people whom I don't see often enough. Today (technically yesterday), was mad busy. I had a modeling gig for Koeal Braxton at 11 a.m. This was pretty rad because he and I have been chatting on Periscope for months and I finally got to meet him! We got some really cool shots I can't wait to share with you. I wanted fitness and he wanted artsy, so we decided on bodyscapes and art implied nudes. 2-5 pm I had a photography session for a really awesome client who wanted to treat herself to being pampered for Mother's Day. I dolled her up in hair and makeup then we shot a couple sets. I am very grateful for both of these jobs as they were last minute hustled gigs due to a giant cancellation. Initially I was very frustrated about this girl flaking, but the universe clearly had a plan. Once I finished both of those, I got to shoot with one of my long time favorite people, Peter Gonzales. He took the above image. Peter has opened many doors for my career and personal life. He was my first connection into the fitness industry and doing makeup for print. He introduced me to tons of models like Cervena Fox and Jade Vixen, and even introduced me to Desirre. My very first trip to Vegas was with him and before meeting Radiant Inc, Peter was by far the record holder for the most shoots I had done with anyone. It was great to shoot with him and catch up. We took about 10 Polaroids today, so those of you who get them next month are basically getting my golden emotion in Polaroid form. 😉 Tomorrow (today, in 6 hours😖), I start the drive home to Vegas. 8 hours, then a photo shoot with MGW Photography right after I get there. One more day, then finally some rest! I am missing my JD, my Booboo, and my home. I'll probably do a few Periscope chats tomorrow to stay awake. 🎉 Nighty night, loves!
