I don't know if my prom makeup artist was way ahead of the trend or I was ummm, "glowing". You know, when you're so oily you shine bright like a diamond.

@.@

For real though, my friend Kim did a fabulous job on the makeup and even painted a star over my eye. I believe she awakened my passion for makeup.

This is my Throwback Thursday photo. I'm posting early so you all can see me in my senior prom glory.

I don't know quite what I was going for in style here, other than cheap-ish. The dress I believe was $40ish at Dillard's and I bought all the accessories at Claire's for $20 or so. Clearly I won best dressed. (I kid, I kid!) I did end up winning prom queen that night. My theater teacher had actually let it slip that day at school, so I already knew. Surprisingly, I was not happy about knowing. Finding out along with everyone else is always more fun for me. The boy in the wheelchair, Mark, was my nominee partner with whom I was supposed to walk out. We decided to "roll" in all snazzy with me riding on the back of his chair. The guy behind us won prom king and he and I shared what might have been the most awkward dance ever. It probably lasted all of 30 seconds.

During the dance, we all made plans to drink afterwards, but (as usual) I didn't follow through. I was quite the goody-two-shoes back in the day. Funny fact, when my boobs grew and I suddenly had the dreaded cleavage, I did everything I could to cover up. See that little black tube top in the first photo? That was me avoiding wearing a real bra which gave my boobs shape and lift, and trying to suppress them with a tight built-in-bra top. Who was I?!

It's crazy to think that my 10 year reunion is coming up next year. All the things I've done in the past few years boggle my mind. It's been quite the journey and I'm sure it will only get better and crazier. :)
