Pulling out of Depression (Patreon)

A couple weeks ago I found out that I was depressed. A friend of mine who is a counselor helped me realize that I was dealing with situational depression, and I imagine many people can relate to that. I had no idea that was even a thing, but it makes complete sense. Just upon realizing that’s what I was dealing with, I was able to start working towards getting myself out of it.

 I’ve recently been exploring spirituality more and my depression has been SO MUCH BETTER. I’ve not had a single depressed day since beginning this little journey, just occasional  feelings of depression here and there. 

For me, it’s not about what form or type of spirituality I’m learning that makes me feel better and I believe there is validity and meaning in almost all of it. Simply desiring to know more, to be more intuitive, to align with god/God/gods and godesses/the universe is where it’s at for me. 

The last two weeks I’ve started learning more about astrology and tarot and I find it really intriguing! I’m remember how much I love learning and I think the learning in itself is helping. Realizing that I don’t know as much as I think I do helps me feel better about all other parts of life and the world, including this pandemic and politics! 

Point of this being, try to figure out what stresses you and cut it out or at least cut back on it. Then figure out what gets you excited and do more of that. 💗

Worked out well that yesterday I was shooting some content and it went down a little witchy path so I used my tarot cards and a piece of my bday cake to help set the scene. Being creative and playful helped a lot in its own way. ✨
