How is everyone doing this week?

I’ve been feeling better this week than last. Last week wasn’t bad, but I had a couple days where I was not my best emotionally. Part of that was due to fluctuations in hormones from that (for me) annoying time of the month, and part of it was (clearly) our current pandemic.

JD and I love spending time together at home, or anywhere for that matter. When we started dating, we were our all the time at events or on dates, or traveling. When he got sick a couple years ago, we adapted to home life together quite well. But I was still gone. A LOT. As most of you know. I was constantly working in LA, going to visit family in TX, and keeping a semi-busy life going to events here and there in Vegas. So this being at home together 24/7 has been fairly easy for us, but it still requires a bit of adapting.

This video by Esther Perel really helps start the conversation on how to adapt our relationships and our home life because home now really is everything. It’s your family space, your personal time space, your work place, your date night venue. This can all seem quite overwhelming. We humans, have been pretty great at adapting over the years, and I have no doubt we can adapt to this as well. If you’re having any trouble or would simply like someone else’s perspective, this is a great place to start.
