Never Enough Color (Patreon)
Content
And I’m bringing even more next year! I’ll be doing more fashion type blogs like this here on Patreon starting in 2019.
I’ve been wanting to post more blog type content, but am not fond of the idea of starting a traditional blog as blogging has stalled out the last couple of years and isn’t really a growing market. I’m trying to be more efficient with my energy and time, so I feel like I can utilize Patreon more as my “blog” landing page. I likely will keep the fashion stuff public so I can link with affiliate codes and such when I have them. That could change, but it’s the plan for now.
Fashion has always been my favorite way to express myself and even though I’ve always had fun with it, I feel like the last couple years I didn’t dress as fun on the daily and I got too focused on shooting wardrobe that was sent to me so I could tag brands on Instagram and whatnot. Life shouldn’t be about tagging people. It should be about doing what you enjoy and if a tag works, then it works. But I no longer want to be planning so much content around who I can tag. Back to thrifting and mixing new stuff with old! I also love sharing the stories of how I collected my outfit pieces, so I’ll be doing that too. I find it inspiring to hear from others which pieces have been thrifted, altered, bought new, or bought cheap! Somehow hearing that others have rad style without spending a fortune gives the rest of permission to wear old things and helps spark creativity within ourselves.
Let’s start at the top! The hair is clip-in bangs and a phony pony that ties in. I bought them blonde and colored them myself. The head scarf is from Rockin’ Bettie I think. 🙈 Earrings were $1 from a shop on Haight Street in San Fran. Necklace was a gift from my girl Jasmin and I believe she said it was only $1 as well. ☺️
The dress is from Urban Outfitters about 6-7 years ago. And the jacket was a $10 score from a Goodwill in Santa Fe, NM IN September. 🙌🏻
The socks were a gift from Linda and Drew (future brother- and sister-in-law) and the boots were a gift from my friend, Moose, from my Amazon wishlist.
All photography is by my good pal, Daniel, of DMR Depictions. 📸 We shot these in downtown Vegas in the arts district, just off Charleston.
I feel like this will be fun for everyone here because those who are interested in fashion will like the details, and those who enjoy just the photography aspect get the visual content.
Hope you enjoy!
