So, behind the scenes, you patrons have been testing the Battle Phase and I received a lot of public and private feedback.  After talking to many different people and specifically both the programmer on duty and another programming fan who specializes in Python coding, there is really no way to make the animations in Ren'py much faster.  I have been testing a code addition that allows users to go p to double the speed, and it is still very slow.

POLL QUESTION: Should I leave the animations of the Battle Phase the way that they have been OR should I simplify them for speed's sake.  So maybe the Survivor just stands in place and swings the bat, then the Brain Bug just stays in place and attacks, instead of having the animations of them being more active as I would have intended had this project been buildable within Unity.

Agree with Chris, fun as a the fighting mechs are, it's a H corruption game. I'd rather see you invest in the conversion scenarios and anims than the battle ones

@Chris and @imanidiot - I am afraid that would be next to impossible for the title. And, I am happy to explain why! I would have to do several renders for any given combination. To put it into perspective for you, to do this even if it was a singular frame, it would be 512 renders. If I was to animate them, with say damaged clothes or something, and do only 3 frames each, it would be 1536. Obviously, with even more frames that increases ever higher and that equates to insane amounts of time that I could be working on the real draw of the title which is Justine and company. I just do not think I realistically have enough hours in a day to do all that and still have decent release times on my projects. At least for now! Let's see how SB:C evolves!

Oh wow, yeah that makes sense lol. Had no idea it would be that intensive haha

That is ok! I often do not think fans understand the sheer magnitude of time and effort this all takes since I think I might make it look easier than it is. With the posing, importing, and interacting of figures, I'd say each possible "match up" even if I only did a singular render would take around half an hour each. Multiply that times the 512 and that is a lot of hours, and then triple it to the 1536, and well, you get the picture!
