I have changed to Charge Upfront! (Patreon)

As of today- FINALLY and thankfully, Patreon is giving me the 'charge up front' ability!  So, I wanted to kind of go over it with everyone.

What it means to me:  First of all, for me, it is wonderful!  It means instead of having to email all of you every time I update a chapter or game, now I can just put a link, and you can all download it at your leisure (this gives me more time to create for you!)  And- no more scammers!


What it means for you:

If you are already my patron- do not fret.  Things will continue exactly like always with you billed every month you choose to invest in my hard work.

This change affects NEW PATRONS ONLY!  It means, going forward, anyone that invests in me will be charge their pledge amount right then.  This means that people that were scamming (and I had them every month), can no longer patron me, get a look at my patron only posts, and then bail.  Now, they will have to pay right then to get the information, artwork, or update.

 

So, if you are my new patron:  After your initial immediate charge, all following charges will take place on the 1st of each month.

If you increase your pledge amount for me, you are charged the difference between your previous charge and your new pledge amount.

Example: You had a pledge of $10 and you were charged $10 for that pledge. Then you increased your pledge, that same month, to $30. You are charged $20.  Or, maybe you increased your pledge to $20. You are charged $10.


If you decrease your pledge amount to me, you are not charged right away when you lower your pledge amount. The new pledge amount will be reflected when your pledge renews at the beginning of the next month.

Example: You had a pledge of $10 and you were charged $10 for that pledge. Then you decreased your pledge to $5 (that same month). You are not charged anything when you made this change. The next time your pledge renews (at the beginning of next month) you are charged $5 instead of $10.

Note: a hold is placed on all pledges of $100 or greater, which will last for 72 hours. For more details, you can look here.
