1. (Almost) Fully British now (Patreon)

This is my first time (of many, I hope) talking to you. Uhm well, “talking” is not the best word, but you get the point.

Hola mis queridos nerds

Esta es la primera vez (de muchas, espero) que les hablo. Em, bueno, "hablar" no es la mejor palabra, pero ya entienden lo que digo.

How are you? How’s your week going so far?

I’m okay. London is freezing cold at the moment, and Ed and I are complaining about how cold it is 24/7. People keep telling me how “british” is to complain about the weather, so I guess we are one step closer of being fully british now. Drinking tea at 3pm is around the corner.

Cómo están? Cómo ha sido su semana hasta ahora?

Yo estoy bien. Londres está MEGA frío por el momento, y Ed y yo nos quedamos de lo frío que está 24/7. La gente insiste en decirme que es típico de inglés quejarse del clima, así que parece que cada vez estamos más cerca de ser británicos. Tomar tecito a las 3pm está a la vuelta de la esquina.

Besides that, everything’s okay at Chez-Nerd. I don’t know if you guys know this, but Ed and I work in our living room. And we work here because it enables us to only turn on the hitting system here, instead of keeping warm the entire flat. This was Ed’s idea to save money with the gas bill. So far, so good. But let me tell ya, going to the kitchen and make a cup of coffee is a winter-nightmare.

Aparte de eso, todo está bien en el Chez-Nerd. No sé si ustedes sabían esto nerds, pero Ed y yo trabajamos en nuestro living (o pieza principal). Y trabajamos aquí sólo porque nos permite cerrar la puerta y prender la calefacción sólo en esta habitación, en vez de calentar todo el departamento. Esta fue idea de Ed para ahorrar dinero con la cuenta de gas. Hasta ahora todo marcha bien. Pero déjenme decirles: ir a la cocina a preparar cafecito es una tortura invernal.

I wanted to have a newsletter for so so long, my nerds. I love talking to you, one on one. But I often times I’ve found myself having lots of “buts”. “I would love to, BUT I don’t know how to” “I would love to BUT I need someone to help me with a mailing system” and so on. So, having you, my beloved patron-guinea pigs, I would see if this works and if I’m good at it. 

Quería tener un newsletter por TANTO tiempo. Amo hablar con ustedes, especialmente de uno a uno. Pero de vez en cuando me veo encontrando muchos "peros". "Me encantaría hacerlo, PERO no sé cómo" "Me encantaría PERO necesito que alguien me ayude con un sistema de emails" y así. Entonces, tenerlos a ustedes,  mis amados patrons conejillos de india, veré si esto funciona y si soy buena haciéndolo.

1. To catch up (not only me talking alone, but you too, please tell me what you’ve been up to)

2. To tell you upcoming projects and things I’m working on

3. Share links and things I’m enjoying (or not enjoying) at the moment.

1. Ponernos al día (no sólo yo hablando sola, pero ustedes también! Por favor cuéntenme en qué están)

2. Contarles sobre próximos proyectos que sacaré

- A few weeks ago Ed and I watch Maidentrip documentary (absolute inspiring movie, available on Netflix) and we’re about to finish the las season of Parks And Recreation. Oh god, I don’t want it to end.

-Hace un par de semanas atrás, Ed y yo vimos el documental Maidentrip (una película mega inspiradora, disponible en Netflix), y estamos a punto de terminar la última temporada de Parks and Recreation. No quiero que se termine.

- For this weekend I’m meeting friends, and probably watch some of these documentaries. After watching Making of a Murderer (Netflix), Ed and I are really into weird documentaries.

-Para este fin de semana me juntaré con un par de amigos (a cenar y a dibujar), y probablemente Ed y yo veremos algunos de estos documentales. Después de Ver Making of a Murderer (Netflix), Ed y yo desarrollamos un extraño interés por documentales raros.
