I don't think I've ever drawn this much in my life (Patreon)

it sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I swear you guys, I don't remember ever drawing this much. MAYBE when I was working on a book deadline, but never because I wanted to.
I feel like I opened Pandora's Box. A month ago or so I told myself "mhm what happen's if from now on I draw with pen without erasing?" and I felt uncomfortable immediately! hahaha As a perfectionist and over-achiever the idea of making a mistake and a) not being able to erase it b) having to look at it and c) accept it and carry on, seemed imposible. But I was too scared of the blank page, I was too scared of making a mistake. It was almost paralyzing.
So I ignored the inicial uncomfortable feeling and I carried on. I kept going and going and going and I couldn't stop. Suddenly I looked forward drawing every day. I couldn't wait to get to my studio and open my sketchbook and start drawing. A judgment free zone where you can make mistakes and it's fine <--WOW, is this illustrator's heaven?
A few notes on this month's sketchbook tour:
• I tried several pens (Muji hexagonal 0.25, Pilot G-Tec-C4, random ball point pen) but overall Muji pen was my favorite. You can create half tones and there's less smearing! I found out this week that particular Muji pen was discontinued last year (yikes) so this weekend I'll try to find a dupe!
• Just if you're wondering, I'm using a RNDER sketchbook!
• You will see I did many drawings twice o three times. Sometimes when I thought the doodle "didn't look like the original" I tried drawing it a couple of times. It's fun and interesting to see the process!
• As always I added a little bit of journaling cause I like to share personal stuff I'm going through with you. It's also a reminder for future Fran of what was I going through at this particular moment in time.
• This month I started taking selfies in oder to practice poses and body language! <-- this is great for when you have no idea what to draw : )
I've already gotten comments from people saying "where are the markers?!" or "does this mean you're never going to paint with gouache anymoreeee" hahaha and the answer is: noo! I'm just exploring! And I'm having so much fun guys : ... )
I hope you enjoyed this sketchbook tour ma loves. I'm really proud of what I am doing and this all thanks to you: you allow me to take the time to practice. Seriously, thank you so much!
As always I added all references in case you want to draw them too. Have a wonderful rest of your weeeeeek!
