month 1. Greenery recap - Illustration club (Patreon)

And it's over! Our first month as members of the illustration club is complete, yaaaaay! How was it for you guys? What did you learn? I learned greenery looks easy to do, but once you're on it, it's HARD. Specially when you draw landscapes; when I draw one bush or one plant, everything's fine, but when I draw a whole green scene, JESUS! 

~ Y terminamos! El primer mes como miembros del club de ilustración está completooo yaaay! Cómo les fue nerds? qué aprendieron? Yo aprendí que la vegetación se ve mega fácil de dibujar, pero una vez que lo dibujas, es DIFICIL. Especialmente cuando dibujo paisajes: todo está bien cuando dibujo una planta o un arbusto, pero cuando dibujo una escena completa, POR DIOS!

The issue I found was that I needed to fill a huge gap of colour and color pencils weren't doing it for me, so I started using watercolours 

Lo que me di cuenta es que con los lápices de colores no podía llenar un espacio muy grande y quise intentarlo con acuarelas

I learned it's waaay easier to use a picture as a reference (I literally googled "forest" and "garden"):

Aprendí es meeeega más fácil usar una foto como referencia (literalmente busqué "bosque" y "jardín"):

My main goal was: how can I draw this simpler (that what appears on the picture)? how can I draw a thousand leaves but without having to draw a thousand leaves?

Mi meta principal era: cómo puedo dibujar esto más simple (que lo que aparece en la foto)? cómo puedo dibujar mil hojitas pero sin tener que dibujar mil hojitas?
