Zabuza’s S.Adventures
Chapter 19

-VB-

The revival of the Uzumaki Clan was not something even he expected, and he’s seen some shit around the Elemental Nations and within Konohagakure.

(That green orgy searing into his eyes and BURNING ALL THINGS GO-!)

What was he thinking?

Right, the Uzumaki.

Kushina was really happy about that. Apparently, the old lady Mei brought to the meeting was none other than Kushina’s oldest aunt. The rebels were tentatively accepted to Konohagakure, and she was off getting to know her long lost family while she left a shadow clone to fill out the paperwork and remove any wrinkles that might happen from accepting refugees.

“So why am I hosting you and your clan?”

To call Mei’s clan a “clan” would be an overstatement. As they were now, there were only nine members in her clan: Mei herself, her parents, her aunt’s family of four, and a distant cousin. All others had been lost in either the exodus or the civil war itself.

“Because you’re the only one I can trust in Konohagakure,” Mei replied with ease and a huff. “Besides, it’s not like you use more than the manor in your estate.”

Zabuza grunted. While it was true enough that his estate had multiple empty houses, he still didn’t like having to house his former superior.

Especially when she decided to crash in his house.

“Why my house?” he asked.

“Haven’t you just heard me say the reason?” she asked tersely.

It was at this moment that Haku walked in. Still a bit tired from her birthing, she wobbled a bit before she caught herself.

“Oh. Is that the woman you said you liked, honey?”

Zabuza facepalmed, and Mei crooned. “Oh, you talked about me with your wife? I didn’t know you had a crush on me.”

“Haku…”

“I mean, I don’t mind a fourth girl in your harem, honey. It just means more women to take care of the babies and make the babies.”

Mei froze and then seemed to blank out as Haku’s words registered.

Zabuza smirked, finally happy to see someone else get flabbergasted and shocked by Haku’s seemingly endless desire to bring more babies into the world.

“She’s also pretty big unlike me. She might even be a great wet nurse.”

“Wah wah what-?!” Mei stuttered with a blush on her face.

He laughed.

“So you’re actually starting to become a family man, huh?” Mei remarked the next day after she came back from helping with the refugees’ integration to Konohagakure.

Zabuza looked up from where he sat with Zuko in his arms. With him were his wives: Haku, Tayuya, and Eri. Haku still looked tired, but she was cooing away at Zuko while Tayuya and Eri were discussing how cute their own kids will be.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Mei scoffed. “You’re only a year or two above me, so you wouldn’t have seen me, but all of us younger ones had to see your ‘final’ year.”

Ah, he knew what she was talking about. The old Kiri Academy.

“Well, thanks to you, my friends didn’t die. Or rather, I got to make friends in the first place.”

“Friends in the academy?” he asked with wide eyes. “That’s preposterous.”

“It used to be,” she replied with a scoff. “It wasn’t until you killed everyone in your graduating class that the then kage decided to scrap the system in favor of a “weaker” one that all of the other major powers used.

It was a measure that came too late. Kirigakure, even before the civil war, stood at the bottom of the Great Five Hidden Villages. With this many refugees and major fighters leaving and having to receive the help of Kumogakure?

Kiri could no longer call itself a major power.

“Anyways, is this what you do all day?”

“Normally, I have missions,” he replied patiently. “But I am a father expecting two more children.”

“That’s it?” she asked incredulously.

“Yes. Konohagakure is quite lax with how it gets its people to work. Maybe that’s why they’re not as burnt out as Kiri-nin are.”

Mei looked upset at that. “But that’s how we’ve always fought.”

“A weekend rest makes life easier.”

She hummed before she sat down to Haku’s left, who sat to Zabuza’s left.

“So you’re a Yuki, huh?”

Haku smiled beatifically. “No, I am a Momoichi now,” she replied with ease, and Zabuza felt good about her saying that.

Mei hummed again after hearing Haku’s answer. “Well, I suppose you’re happy with Mr. Murderface here.”

“Oi, this Mr. Murderface happened to have a rather high position in Konoha.”

“Bah, you already helped us. You’re useless now,” she joked.

He snorted.

At this moment, Zuko crooned from within his arms, and Zabuza was quick to gently rock the baby.

Mei couldn’t help herself and cooed at the sight of the baby.

And then she sighed.

“Uooh, when am I going to have a man for myself?” she bemoaned as she held her cheek. “And not someone like you.”

“Oi, what’s wrong with me?”

“I just said what was wrong with you.”

“If that’s what is wrong with me, then you’re guilty of being too picky.”

“I’m not a bitch who goes around sleeping with a dozen men just to find a single one! I gotta find the right one from the start!”

“Who the hell believes in that kind of crap?!”

“Well, didn’t you know that Haku was the one for you?”

He paused.

“Kind of. Besides, family and love aren’t things that you just … get from the start.”

“...?”

“It grows. Sure, you can probably get by at the start with just sex -”

“Oi, oi, oi, I already know all that shit. You don’t have to lecture me, Mr. Shark Dad.”

“I hope you’ve never said that to any of the Hozuki.”

“Zabuza, they love that nickname.”

“Figures. So, what are you going to do? There’s plenty of good men in Konoha.”

She hummed.

“I remember seeing a hunky green fellow…”

For a moment, everyone but Mei stuttered as their brains crashed and rebooted.

“Y-You want to go after Gai?”

“Yeah! He’s strong, right?”

“He is-”

“Charismsatic?”

“From a certain point of view, but -”

“Lots of stamina, too?”

“You know that it doesn’t necessary translate to-”

“And a good man?”

Zabuza groaned.

“...Yes.”

“See? I knew Konoha had good men.”

He looked at her incredulously.

“Is that why you led the refugees here?”

“Of course not!”

He did not believe her.

GaixMei, hahahahaha. I ship it! It's hilarious. And it makes a twisted amount of sense really. Mei always wanted a reliable, nice husband. And Gai is a genuinely nice guy in a shithole of a world called Elemental Nations. Anyway, thx for the chapter ;).
