Hello, it is time to vote for next months throwback set again. This time with the new VTT Token! 😃

#32 - Sky Dominion - A set containing flying and holy creatures. Are you ready to soar to the skies?

#33 - Underwater Mayhem - A set full of underwater sea creatures. Even the god Poseidon made it to the party!

#35 - Green Siege - Orc, Goblins, Gnoll and more! Many Siege Engines make this set perfect for going to war against those pesky humans!

#36 - Sands of Destiny - This Egyptian Themed Set is full of Desert encounters and classic monsters!

#37 - Kingdom of Secrets - A set with buildings like a Tavern and a Wizard Tower. Also a huge castle with walls! All with playable interior of course. And many characters that go with those buildings.

#38 - Burning Lands - Many classical Monsters and a some that are fire and earth themed.

I'm getting frustrated seeing throwbacks of the sets I started with and not seeing the single digits I haven't got access to yet :/

We haven't made new pre-supports for the old sets 3-6 yet. After we have those, I will start putting them into the polls. 😃 You have sets 11, 12, 14, 15? Weird that 13 is missing. We normally ensure all sets get releases almost in order. 🤔

LOL so I think I started with 14 being the throw back in around Oct 21 but 6 thru 12 have been added in as extras and lucky number 13 has yet to see her number come up. I was missing 9 for a long time too but it was shown some love some time back.

I really like the tokens! Is there any chance you guys will do standard circular tokens? Sometimes the round token format is easier to use on a VTT.

Do you mean cropping them to circles? If so, I think it would not work optimally with these tokens since they are top-down.

Yeah. It may not work well. I find the organic forms hard to see on a VTT unless the maps are very simple. Things get too busy otherwise. Are you guys releasing 2D tokens for all the older sets? I haven't been keeping up with all my patreon subs very well lately.

Sets 37 & 38 were released December 2021. It may not sound much, but in May it would be 1,5 years. If you consider that Epic Miniatures is 3 years old, it is half the way back. 😃

You can add additional white outlines to them before using. That is what I do when black outlines are not enough. The additional contrast helps a lot.

Great tip. I will suggest it to my fellow DMs who haven't done that with their tokens. Will you be creating these tokens for the entire catalog?

on one hand, I understand the frustration some people have with regard to not getting a throwback set they don't already have. Just remember that they could just tell you to go purchase it instead of offering throwback sets at all. Very generous, I say.

Actually we already have all the tokens up until set 52 finished. You can check them out here: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/Epic-Miniatures/collection/vtt-token-sets So yes, at this point there probably will be tokens for every set at some point. 😃

Thank you for your kind words! I think people are frustrated because at this point we have more sets then people can catch up within 1 or 2 years. Our plan was to release 2 throwback sets every month when we reach 3000 patrons, but sadly that never happened. The side sales of older models is actually what enables us to continue releasing over 80 new models every month. I would genuinely love to give people more older models, but I also need to think about how to keep things running and how to finance new models. Like in many things in life, it is a balance act.

Hey man! Love your stuff! I'm working on your tavern right now and I looked through all the files and I dont think the corner table pieces / the tables in the photos are in there. Maybe thats on purpose? I just thought the corner tables/benches added so much charater to the tavern. Maybe you can help out? Or maybe its there and has the wrong name? I just cant find it in your download. Thanks for the help and cheers!

With this month's release and #31 throwback, I've reached the end of the throwbacks for anything greater then #13. Now to enjoy the monthly releases until throwbacks manage to loop back to #03-#13 (got some in between, but easier to type a range)

I know the feeling. I somehow managed to miss DLing the pre-supported for set 20, but at least I've got the unsupported version and no pressing need for the set other than completion. I'm just super happy there's the VTT tokens now so I'm still excited for the throwback each month, even if I've already got the STLs.

I just hope the pre-supported files for the older sets ends up on MMF. I have missed a few of the pre-suports due to not knowing they were not on MMF, and only on the patreon for that month
