Hello, we have another February Update for you!

Amazon - This tribe that lives in the Fey Woods consists of female warriors without exception.

Centauroid Satyr - Are they deer centaur or quadruped Satyr? Better not ask them directly since one of those options is a great insult to them!

Revealed 39 of ~80 new February models. More to be shown soon.

Thank You!

Keep it coming! Love it all.

I would not want to meet any of these on a dark wooden path; well done!

Question: I noticed that there aren't bow strings attached to the models, is there a specific reason for this?

Roachboy

mind blown ... those are awesome miniatures.

Alex A

This is typical for models at this scale. The bowstring (and other string-thin details) are often excluded as they'd be too delicate to be practical.

I use thread to make the bow strings

Jeremy, any hints on attaching the string without making the attach points too "blobby"

thin lb. test fishing line tied with a fishing knot would work.

Martin Dickson

Very cool - especially the Centauroid Satyrs.

Tomorrow will be the final update for the first February Set. After that I will start revealing the second one. 😃

Dear sculptors: tbh, despite the concepts and sculpts being awesome I have one issue with the bows; while I don't mind there being no strings, the bows themselves are too straight. No bow would be this straight at full draw. This gives the impression that the bowstring is not only not shown, but that the figures aren't actually drawing the bow, but merely holding an arrow to the bow. This sadly makes the archers look a lot less dynamic than intended and frankly a bit silly to anybody who ever shot a bow ;-P Just a quick tip for any future archer sculpts ^^

That makes sense. Never had a bow myself so I don't know how elastic the bow is when drawn. I will research this topic a little for future models. There is an easy way to bend the bow after printing as well. You just need to slightly heat it with a hair drawer, bend it a little and wait until it cools and hardens again. Here is a YouTube video: https://youtu.be/J08zJfw-Xns This may be useful on many other sculpts too. 😃

Are you a Skyrim fan? The bow that the Centauroid Satyr is using is an exact replica of Auriel's Bow from Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim.

epic_miniatures

We used a reference image for "fantasy bow" that we thought would fit for the centaur. It is by no means an "exact" replica though. We just got inspired by the general form and haven't included any finer detail like the handle and engravings.

Are there any plans to make miniatures for the game Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treachery?

Glitterwolf

This gets better and better.
