Content

Hi all !

As you know, in a few weeks, Patreon will levy a tax on certain types of content in order to comply with the legislation in force in certain countries.

On my Patreon you can get the following content:

- Access to WIP content

- Early access to 3D WORKS content

- Monthly package that brings together 3D Works content for the month of your commitment

Anxious to preserve your wallet, I address you to ask a question:

Should I delete the monthly packages? This will leave as a benefit:

- Access to WIP content

- Early access to 3D WORKS content

Indeed, the monthly package is considered a "digital product" and it is therefore taxable...

I can actually consider publishing the 3D Works 1080p and 4k content of level2 and level3 instead of sending you packages, but all the content of my Patreon will again be hacked by sites filled with leeches decerebrate eager for new blood...

I had been offered to invoice new customers from the first day of engagement, but I refuse this idea because it is not the vision that I have voluntary donation. My Patreon is based on people's choice and goodwill, so if the content is not pleasing, I refuse the idea of charging you, so that leaves you the choice of staying or leaving before the end of the month.

I will trust the result of the survey.

As usual I am listening to your opinions ;)

Honestly, I just prefer downloading your work from Patreon...though the app hasn't been doing that correctly lately. However, when you say leaving or staying do you mean the platform itself?

I may have expressed myself badly, excuse me.   I opted for the "Monthly charging method", I wanted to say, stay to support my work, or decide to leave before paying if my work does not please you

I believe that if you post the images directly to Patreon it still counts as a “digital product”. I don’t think we’ll be able to avoid the new taxes, it’s just a thing people have to pay now.

I also asked myself the question, but it remains a little ambiguous. Early access content is not considered digital content, but downloadable content (pdf, games, archives ...) is considered a "product". I will contact patreon for an answer on this subject.

Here is the answer : I'd also recommend choosing the closest category to the benefit depending on your intention for the benefit. If your published images on the site are intended to be downloaded, then I'd choose "Downloadable Digital Goods." However, if your images are meant to be viewed exclusively on your page instead of downloaded, you can probably choose "Exclusive Community Access."

It's a little strange ... I can very well estimate that my images are only made to be consult, but nothing prevents you from right clicking on the image and "save as ..."

A Tough choice for sure. Obviously most people prefer to save money where they can. That said I'm not going anywhere, either way it goes.
