This was a fun moment for sure. Based on what was shown initially, When I heard that "yeah" when asked a direct question, I was on the side of Jordan. As to who won the bet, I agree Josh wins because Josh technically didn't kill it, and also, Jordan did attack.

I'm glad you did this video. It's a great piece of nonsense to talk about. I don't care if it's patreon exclusive or not. That said, I have Discord access and I don't even use it. I still think Jordan's "rule of law" is correct. A contract can be created, then breached/terminated by Josh, which absolves Jordan's subsequent breach.

But I never breached the agreement. I upheld my end. He's the one who attacked with the Devastator, which is clear proof that even he did not think we had a deal. So, either way, I win. -JLK

Since JLK' yes was clear and concise and "I have no preference" isn't a clear retraction (having a preference is irrelevant to a made deal). However the deal was only for not attacking him, not for allowing it to live to gain an advantage through other means. So could have been killed prior to attacks.

I'm glad you gave this issue more time in this separate video. These kinds of little disagreements can boil over into long held grudges if those involved aren't careful. It's good to see how you and the group worked it out.

Fun discussion and I certainly understand getting a bit blinded by excitement in the moment. Why I've made a habit if someone is vague I asked them to "define X" for whatever they said. My group stopped breaking deals with me after I did a spite Pact of Negation on one of their plays that'd save their board even though I couldn't pay for the Pact on my upkeep.

Honestly, I would love to see some patron-exclusive unedited extra turns/game knights content. Would love to see more about how the sausage gets made!

The take home for me is - if I’m doing a deal, be very, very careful about how it’s worded and that my deal partner agrees to the wording. One of the many amazing things about Commander for me is how it improves communication. Also I love how people like you both who do this for a living make the same kinds of mistakes I do and I see at my LGS 😂

Really enjoyed the content. I thought the further explanation was on point. I left game episode thinking Jordan was on the wrong end of that deal and after this one I really appreciate the nuisance of the agreement and the series of events. Would love to continue to see this kind of content and explanations behind them.
